  4. You are using EO4 which, as far as can tell, does not have directional blocking.
  5. Sounds like it would be a nice engine. I would buy it but I'm broke. Anyways, I hope you have some luck selling this engine; would hate to see it go to no use.
  6. Okay so I followed this tutuorial http://www.eclipseorigins.com/thread-7228.html and managed to added map animation layers to the SEB Engine. I have a couple issues though that I can't seem to figure out. The fringe animation plays below the fringe layer for some reason and the mask2/fringe2 animation layers won't display tiles.   7. I agree with Marsh, this does look great. Looks like you have added every cool feature most MMO's have into an Eclipse game. I'm really looking forward to playing this.

  9. Okay so for the FPS problem when using auto/animated tiles, I don't have this issue with EW or EO4\. I am no programmer so I have no suggestions on how to fix it except maybe look at how those two engines got this issue resolved. I think EO4 has an FPS rate capped at 32 so maybe set a capped frame rate? I just don't like how a map without auto/animated tiles has a solid 64 fps and correct movement but then when you add auto/animated tiles the fps drops significantly and player movement speeds up drastically.

  12. Okay so I am now experiencing the movement bug as well. I guess I didn't notice until I made a new map and transferred to it but yes there is a considerable difference in movement speed when walking from one map to another. On map1 I move really faster and on map2 I move normal. I can't seem to track down whats causing this but I'm going to keep trying to figure it out. Jaxx, what is the Eclipse-wide GPU to Movement bug you referred to exactly? Okay so I think I figured out what happens with movement speed. If there are a decent high amount of autotiles on a map your FPS will drop from 64 to around 40-45 causing player movement speed to increase for some reason. A simple fix for this would be to avoid using autotiles unless absolutely necessary, that is, if Jaxx decides to fix this issue.

  14. You need to have them set in the properties and have the npc spawn attribute. The fact that the map editor spawns npcs without npc spawn tiles is an issue that needs fixed within its self, npcs shouldn't spawn without an npc spawn attribute unless an event spawns them.
  15. So did you try the npc spawn attribute? Like I said, from what I could tell you didn't put the npc spawn attribute down, which is why you are getting an error.
  16. The animation error it is on your part I think. I believe the problem is being caused, from what I could tell from your video, is that you didn't put down a NPC Spawn attribute so the map is 'force' spawning the npc's in a way. For the speed problem, maybe I'm not seeing what your talking about but from the videos you have posted I don't really notice a speed change but I'll keep watching and see if I can think up any suggestions.
  17. Okay so I noticed that npcs can cast blinding spells but not stealth spells. Not sure if that is meant to be or not but I think npcs should be able to cast stealth spells. Also, when blinded you can still see player/npcs names, again not sure if it meant to be like that but shouldn't names disappear also? Last thing, when npcs cast spells there is no casting animation and it would be helpful if the casting animation played. Also, npcs don't seem to target you again once you come out of stealth mode. These are not necessary things but they would be nice. Again, thanks for the engine.

  22. So this works great and everything but one thing that I noticed is that if you attack an npc when the npc is not looking at you the npc will not turn and face you while attacking. Anyone know of a fix for this?

  24. Looking better and better. So what are you planning on having done before a release? I guess I didn't realize there were so many things missing from this engine such as the pokemon spawning and other things you've added.
