  3. U should specify ur upload/dl speeds too and details about how much of it you use and at what times of day and stuff. Or perhaps just give the first week free for testing
  4. Don't double post. Yes vb6 cost money and can be bought on Amazon. Any other way of obtaining vb6 like pirate downloads are not supported by eclipse and we will not provide any links for download.
  5. Items can be bought/sold/traded. Spells first start as spellbooks that is an item. in your game, the spellbook could be obtained whichever way you want (NPC drop, availible in shop, given at a level [requires programming]). Once a player decides "this is the spell i want" he can double click it to learn the spell. It becomes availible in the "Spells" tab in the menu. He can then select the spell, select a target, and cast it. They can also be dragged to the F1-F9 keys to make it faster to use.
  6. Run your game in VB6\. Once you get the error, VB will highlight the error. Take a screenshot and post here. Runtime Error 9 is for a value beyond the maximum or when your sub loops without end. Since it's a general error, you'll need to show us where VB6 highlights the error.

Eclipse games who make money do not make profit. I suggests you do not sell currency or items but instead add a Donation button so players can help you pay for server costs, etc.. If you want to make profit, and start your own business, this is not the right engine and you will not succeed alone. I hope this answers all your questions, feel free to ask more if need be.

  9. Random spawns will help. Otherwise you can also set up an afk kicker (if the person has stayed on same tile for over 5 mins) I've had the same issue in the past so these were my ideas to fix this. The kicker is best if your players cannot walk thru each other cause players could be really afk and block a pathway

    On my old server, i created a map that was like a cave with bones. There was no way to escape, the cave is completely sealed. Every map has the coordinate of that map for death, so when you die you go to that cave. The reason why i did not delete them is so that they can still login to view their dead chars and to use chat. Like a trophy character. Thats my idea for my game but u can use it too.

  23. You can also add the Scripted item tutorial which allows custom items. Once thats done, you can easily add a script to a potion which heals 0 hp and which then gives the player stats points equal to str+agi+int+etc. Then it sets all stata to 0.
