  1. @Robin: > Can I get **napalmcheesecake.net/hotnakedslutsinchocolatesauce** registered please? I'd love to see what stuff would be on that site.

You should probably start doing some graphics yourself, would save you a lot of time, since you wont need to wait.

    Nation States

Just joined up. Introducing, the nation of BigRedCar! The Republic of BigRedCar is a fledgling, environmentally stunning nation, notable for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 5 million are highly moralistic and fiercely conservative, in the sense that they tend to believe most things should be outlawed. People who have good jobs and work quietly at them are lauded; others are viewed with suspicion. The large government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Education, and Social Welfare. The average income tax rate is 25%. A small but healthy private sector is dominated by the Gambling industry. Crime – especially youth-related -- is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. BigRedCar's national animal is the Kangaroo, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Dollar.

I don't see what you guys are being so sarcastic about, it's awesome. /troll/
  5. Two for the win, I like it. :)
  6. What he means by 'Why is he looking into the sky/camera?' is that he is looking straight ahead. If you want it to look good in the game, you should make it more above view. So instead of it looking at you, the player, it looks as if it's looking at the map/ahead of itself. Hope you understand, hard to explain.
  7. Nice little guide, should help some of the newer players!
  8. The hands and feet look a bit small compared to the torso and head, but I don't know what kind of look you're going for. It's a decent effort, but could be improved a lot.

    XP to next level

You'll need VB6 to do a large majority of things in Eclipse.
  10. Are you sure it isn't just issues with your internet? Maybe you need to buy a server? Not all ISP plans are suitable for hosting.
  11. You could always try making them bigger yourself. Sadly, they lose quality then.
  12. Hey guys, don't know what you would call this but I've found it has come in handy. I found it a while back, can't remember who made it. Credits to them anyway. Enjoy, hope it helps.
  13. @SeeingBlue: > Don't listen to them, you don't need to know html. I've done fine in the past with dreamweaver and wordpress, joomla, smf, even tinyportals is a good one… Everything looks a lot more professional if you know what you're doing **without** using them programs (that's my opinion of course).
  14. Oh, this is how I first started with HTML. This was about 3 years ago now, and I'm pretty good with HTML/CSS. So, yeah watch this video and it'll teach you the basic tags and what they are used for. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GwQMnpUsj8I
  15. If you mean the Male/Female option, open up FrmMenu in VB6. Then click the Male/Female OptionButton and change the background color, I'm not sure if you can make it transparent or not.
  16. @Ansonla: > can somebody helped me add it into my game? ;_; i don't know how! i added 6 times! it won't work! someone help! i don't know anything!! UGH!! ;_; Time to learn, start off with a few simpler tutorials. Of course, if you haven't done anything yet, just download the source attached to the main post.
  17. Decent sized download, better be worth it. I'll edit this post and say what I think of it, once I've finished the download.
  18. @RyokuHasu: > @ Connor: Where did you find that one? lol I'm gona add it to the list on the first post. You can find it here: http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/smf/index.php/topic,73234.0.html Another quote.. > Shut up.
  19. I prefer the top down view. I do enjoy playing side scrolling games though, they both have there pros and cons!
  20. I like it, really good job for your first GUI. Great work! :)
  21. > I swear to God if you misspell 'resource' as 'recourse' one more time I'm going to hit you in the face.
  22. @Grizzy: > All that aside, I know this is nothing but I figured out how to connect my FTP client to my site, I have connected the URL to the webhost and i've learned a lot of FTP and html website development from some tuts I have read. Also a very quick question. Can I possibly finagle a way to host my game sever from my website/webhost since I have the best package and have pretty much unlimited everything. I just want to host it there while testing and such. If everyone could host from there webhost, there would be millions of 24/7 servers for all types of different games. You'll need to purchase a server to run it off if you're unable to run it from your computer, I'm afraid. You also said 'i've learned a lot of ftp', FTP isn't a coding language. It's a special setup most hosts allow you to use, it actually means 'File Transfer Protocol'. It isn't hard to learn how to use, a lot of FTP clients are so straight forward a young child could use them. Good to see you're learning, and hopefully one day we will see the finished result of all your hard work! Edit: Oh, and above our posts they are saying to use Notepad++, it's a great program. Really easy to keep you coding clean, good for learning in.
