![](http://glaciate.net/images/audentio/unova/logo.png) Done the "rebranding". [Check the site out](http://glaciate.net/index.php), and post comments and criticisms!

But, in all seriousness, a shocking amount struggle to use -2D- rendering libraries. What on Earth are you smoking to think that 3D is something that we can all do? o.O Sorry to say; but as a team, we generally agree that we're more inclined on optimisation, and usability. If it isn't usable, or not viable, it's quite likely that we'll agree that the matter should be shot.

Redesigned it, starting from a new theme. Opinions, and suggestions would be appreciated!
  5. That many layers? Your map file sizes are gonna be huuuuuuge…plus, there's going to problems with changing maps later on in development.
  6. Pft, I've done too much on this to just start from scratch. I'd sooner start a new game entirely,, and make that in C#, and maintain this, than migrate the game entirely.
  7. > "Completely open-ended. There are no quests, but" > > Uhm. Oops, thanks for pointing that out. > Migrate to C# and I'll work on it. Migrate what? The game, or myself? xD
  8. All I can say is, **we're still planning what we're going to do**, and what outcome we'd like to see. As a sidenote; I think the suggestions board at the current minute, as a whole, is rather moot, considering we're still deciding and planning.
  9. **Thread:** [http://www.touchofde…s-playable-247/](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/index.php?/topic/130775-iron-prelude-returns-playable-247/) **Website:** [http://glaciate.net/forums/](http://glaciate.net/forums/) **Download Link (For any interested.):** [http://www.glaciate…./UpdaterWRI.rar](http://www.glaciate.net/downloads/UpdaterWRI.rar) **Introduction** Hello everybody. I'm seeking out a few developers to help out with the content development for Iron Prelude Returns. I'm seeking somebody who can map, make items, NPCs, and spells, and also help me with balancing combat, and developing new systems. **Features** * A wide area to explore. * Integrated into the Glaciate authentication server system. * Better security: passwords are not stored as plain-text. * A weather system. * Multiple dungeons, with fitting rewards. * Completely open-ended. There are no quests, but you can still complete tasks that NPCs might ask, if you're willing. NPCs can build up trust with you, and effectively help you progress. * Well optimised: IP runs minimally. * A player driven economy: the supply/demand model exists, and stocks can be bought and sold. * A skill system that gives players the option of not pursuing combat. * Much more. **What will I get?** By joining up, you get developer access on the Glaciate Forums. This in turn allows you to have free-rein on your own sub-domains, databases, etc. Anything that you might need, I'll provide the domains, databases, and any assistance that you might need. **Applying** In order to apply, please PM me. PM me with examples of maps, and why you're interested on joining IPR.

Bit late on my part, but Congrats on the lead role!

  12. Oh, it is? I assumed that the multiple judges in separate languages implied the need. ![:P](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/public/style_emoticons//tongue.png)
  13. Just noticed that VB6 required judging too. Seeing as my entry isn't in VB6, could I possibly judge any entries that come through on that, with John?
  14. Marshy Dearest, I'll admit, my vote is on the basis of likability, personal experience, and my thoughts on the outcome. Who I like better is -_obivious_-. From personal experience, one hasn't stolen anything from me, and has been quite helpful to me, over the period of the last two years. From thoughts on the outcome, well, one's a to-do list, which doesn't leave much prospects for the future, and the other is actually a developed plan-of-action, that many have had some form of input and development in. Plus, of all the VB coders on this site, I'd like to think that I'd have a nice chance of being able to help out with development when Rob proposes his initial team. ![
  15. > *facepalm* this kids….. D'aww, just because I despise you. ![](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/public/style_emoticons//rolleyes.gif) Anyway, this is Rob's thread. Please do not bother derailing it.

  17. > LOL Rob voted for himself ^-^ Well, when your other option is you, I would too.
  18. I'd suggest Eclipse Origins 2.0, with http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/index.php?/forum/89-bug-fixes/ added. I advise against using any custom version. Either use EO2, 2.3, or 3.0.

Welp, still looking for comments on the site, especially now that more things are up, and I'm expecting registration rates to pick up.
  20. OK, cool. I'll probably end up doing a prototype in VB.NET, and port that to C#. See how well that goes. ![:D](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/public/style_emoticons//biggrin.png)

  22. OK, so can somebody answer my question: > Also, question, howcomes VB6 and C# is fine (Deprecated and .NET regardless, respectively), yet VB.NET isn't? I don't have a problem with it, but really, it doesn't ultimately make sense.

    > I just had an outstanding idea that I think should be looked into. Instead of customizing Eclipse through hard-coding why can you guys not work on modulation? The base engine includes editors for the map, items, and npc's. The user can then scour the site for "modules" (scripting files) that they can install to customize the engine to their liking? Why was this never done? Eclipse Evolution.
