Ok, so I'm in the middle of making a game. I've got the player basically done (Movement, projectiles, stats of all sorts, things of that nature). The next step in development is the environment. however, programming each individual block for every level is far too much grunt work. So I thought that I would make a "seed" of sorts, to where for each block (540 total) it will take the current seed and run it through an unique (to that block) equation that will produce a number between 0 and 32\. However, I'm not sure of what I'll use for the seed or the equation. so far I've decided to basically "clump" blocks together in small groups and then have what goes into those squares be determined by sections of the code. For instance, the first three blocks on the screen being determined by the first two characters(or one if there's enough characters). I want to know what you'd guys suggest.

Just a suggestion for your game; maybe add resource gathering, crafting and the ability to place objects on the map (EG land mines, barriers, things of that sort).

What files does it say he's missing?

Well, I thought I might as well try and contribute:  That would be the heath pack, the shield, the ufo, and an explosive of some sort. It's definitely not the best, but considering I'm not an artist, I'm proud of it.

Pivot does have one advantage over flash though, it's free. (Although Adobe Flash is still superior.)

What's with the grassy background? But I do like the tiles, although it would be better if it was separated into two sand tiles, one for the top, and one for under. Not a lot of detail under the very top, and the top shouldn't look so flat.
