  2. Well mate all I can say is… Samu + Origins + VB = Epic >_< Nice one mate, some good edits to Origins there and the Pet system sounds really good so far... I’ve been trying to implement a pet system for a bit now but no joy :P so nicely done mate! Bug Found: I dunno if anyone has mention this to ya mate but, when you create a attackable NPC (or just attack the Bandit) the NPC HP Bar drops to nothing after one attack (does not affect NPC health, just the visual Bar) Again good work mate Cheers
  3. Looking really good Samu!! The ingame forum is a great Idea, will be very handy for guides for noobs and guild organization. Have to mention the server… well it just looks like you have injected it with ROIDS!!! >_< Ever think of making the chat box moveable? I was messing round with fullscreen on EO V1 and tried putting the chatbox into a new form and make it stay on top of client, but its abit funky to say the least lol Looks class mate, keep up the good work :)

Yea I did have boxes ticked for "Give Item Reward and Give Exp Reward" aswell as "Can Restard Quest"… But Ive just tried with a fesh downloaded copy to try and replicate bug and cant :P So it must of just been me messing around somewhere lol sorry So at the moment is the quest log looking at the hardcode and not from what the quest editor writes? (Haven't opened source up yet, was just messing with compile) If I find any more issues ill double check in future :D Thanks mate and again good work
  6. Looking really good mate! Keep up the good work as you have added some nice MODs to Origins :) Ive downloaded both version to test them out for ya, but only had time to check "Nova-ce". I can only find 2 issues so far which im not sure if they have been reported to ya, but here they are in anyways: 1\. When a quest is ticked for "Can Restard Quest?" it alows you to repeat quest but will not give you any Exp or Reward for doing so (not sure if you wnated it this way?) 2\. In the Quest Log, the quest "Randomness" when clicked states: "There's no quest information for this quest yet" Hope this helps and will dig through both version later on when get in from work :P Really good edit though mate :)

Samu seemed to think u were worthy of having it Pain, thats why he done it for ya ;) Good tut Samu I've been trying to put a title system in my game aswell so thanks! :D Seen my mate playing a game called Iris, It has a title system with buffs. So each title has its own buff which makes the title more worth while working for and getting, and this can added to Samus tut.

    [EO] Boss Npc's

    Will this work with parties? As in if there is a group of players in a party and fighting a boss what will happen when boss is killed? Will it warp all players in party to set location? And if so what will happen to the drops, as in will they get shared about the party members or put only in the player who killed the boss? Cheers and good tut btw :)

I am work at the moment and dont have the source with me but I think the current set up is 4 animations per direction(north, east south & west) so the sprite looks like is is moving properly and doesn’t look jumpy(like previous engines). The only issue I have is that the last animation on direction(4th one) is the attack, but is also used for movement. I’m going to look at how to change the code for reading from the sprite sheet. As I want it so that the sprite sheet is 5 animations consisting 4 movement animations and 1 attack animation (that is not used in movement). Any pointers on this would be much appreciated :), but think most of the code to be changed is where [Cake]Woods said: "bltPlayer , bltSprite , bltNPC". If I figure it out I will post it up >_< Cheers

  15. Very good read and a must read for anyone who is new at creating/developing games! A good game must consist of dialog, but not too much that the player gets bored form reading and skips most of it and misses the plot! Also I agree with good characters and NPC personalities. I always try and put a lot of humour in my games as well as some serious bits, helps to keep the player on there toes! From laughing at funny NPCs/Scenes to having to get revenge for summit and fight a big nasty boss or solve a puzzle’s. I believe that all games have a plot/should have a plot no matter how small or simple the game is, as for Space Invaders I believe the plot was to stop the "Invaders from Invading" >_< just messing! But I always say that when you make a game, don’t make it for yourself! Make it for the players! As the players know what they want… Sometimes lol but always ask your game community what they would like to see! Overall Good TUT!

If you then put the spell into a hotbar it will work fine, BUT if you then move the spell in the SpellInventory to a different slot(e.g Slot2) the spell will no longer work in both the hotbar or from double clicking the spell directly from SpellInventory. This also affects players that have more that one spell learned. As in if a player has 2 or more spells learned and they are positioned along the top of the SpellInventory(e.g Slot1, Slot2, Ect…), and then the player moves the spell in Slot1(so slot1 is vacant), all other spells done seem to work unless they are position next to each other from SpellSlot1 along. Hope that makes sense? As im at work and dont have the source so cant see what each function is called. Im currently compliling a bug report for Origins, just busy removing bugs from list that have already been reported to Robin and Forum :) Cheers

  20. Hi, Im new to the Eclipse Source but straight away I can see it has amazing potential XD So to Robin and the Team, well done!!! Epic Engine!!! I was just wondering how you would make the Item Animation continue to the "Char Screen" for the players equiped items to animate like Inventory ones. I have tried to copy the code for the AnimatedInvItems and change for EqItem but cant seem to get it right. Ay Ideas on how to get this working? Thanks
