Duders
I've been looking at joining multiple projects as a paid artist for a while, but none of them have really worked out. I decided instead of looking for jobs, I'll just post my own topic to offer my services to everyone.**About Me**I currently live in the US and I'm in school (on summer break currently) so I have some obvious time restrictions, but I do find down time most of my week. I have been an artist and game developer for 5 years, working on my own project [Tyras](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/smf2/index.php/topic,78393.0.html) as well as [The Tower](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/smf2/index.php/topic,81427.0.html) alongside Lenn and various projects with [Sleepy Studios](http://sleepystudios.com/). I have also done work with Rpg Maker XP and VX for years, and most recently won the Eclipse Mapping Contest.**What I Offer**[**My Portfolio**](http://rmlong.carbonmade.com/)As far as art I currently work with tiles, sprites, icons, and some UI design. I'm willing to do jobs from simple edits on RMXP sprites, to full tilesets. I'm also great at mapping with a variety of tilesets and styles. My only requirement is to work within my boundaries. My style is very retro and semi-cartoonish, so realism is a stretch and larger scale work (such as character portraits) is a little out of my skill level. I am willing to accept just about any palette or style though (fantasy, steam punk, scifi, etc.).**Payment**I want to be reasonable with how I'm paid since most projects don't have any sort of funding than out of the creator's own pocket. Simple work such as a set of sprites or items can be a simple flat payment, dependent on the amount of hours I spend. As for tilesets and mapping, I'll charge by time spent and how many sets and maps I make. Making a tileset takes about 2 hours and a good, semi large scale map can take around 30 minutes to an hour (Tyras's maps take a few days, only because they are massive).Since most people like to see numbers, I'll say about $10 an hour is a good starting point. Anymore would be for shadow effects and light mapping (if you have a Dx8 or greater engine) since that takes quite a bit of trial and error.**Extra Info**I am willing to take on more than one project at a time, probably 3 max since I have to sleep at some point. If you are interested in hiring me send me a PM, I check Eclipse throughout the day. If I'm up for the job, I can continue to keep in touch through Skype (which I'm on all day). Jeff
Your pixel art isn't worth paying for imo. If you don't get offers, I'd highly suggest working for less money or free for a bit.

Duders
Yeah I can see what you mean by hours. I'm more looking at getting paid for what should be an hours worth of work. It should reflect less of the time spent and more of the quality of work.

Duders
@NexSteve:> Payment per piece of art?Basically and if it takes a long time (ie. a tileset as compared to a sprite) prices will vary.
