Hi there,

I have a problem by starting the server an the client.

The messeges are on the picture in the attach files.

The first is the one about the server, the secont one about the client.

I'm German so I try to translate the secont one:

"To the specified device, path, or file or may not become inaccessible. You may not have sufficient privileges to access the element."

Additional infos:

- I installed the ELIS an the Eclipse Runtime Files Installer (as the admin)

- I try to start the server an the client as the admin

- I have Win7

- I use the Eclipse Version "

**[0.9.2-pr5] german Eclipse - Pre-Release 5**

"

In case of any further information feel free to come back to me.

Thank You for Your help in advance!

Hi DMF,

thank You for Your answer!

Sorry, I've posted the wrong link. This is the right one:

It has alle the dlls inside I think.

Any other Ideas?

Make sure you're using the newest library installer, I think the one called ELIS is an older one.

Right click the library installer file, and click "properties" Go to 'Compatibility' and check 'run this program in compatibility mode for'

Then choose Windows XP Service pack 3

Check 'Run this program as an administrator' aswell.

Press OK and run the installer.

Thank You very much!

The server is rinning now :-)

But the problem with the client is still alive… :-(

Incidentally I use Win7.

Now I found the problem. It was the realtimescanner from avira...-.-

Thank You all!

Thank You, but my problem is solved. It was my AntiVirusScanner…

> Your VirusScanner was causing RTE 339? How did you fix it? I've just bought a new laptop and I'm getting this error even though I've done everything! Any suggestions would be a great help everyone, thanks

I switch it off. I deactivate the realtimescanner for the time I work on the game…

Specs: windows 7 64 bit

I can run the server but when I run the client I get an error message that says "can't start because dx8vb.dll is missing from your computer"

If this is direct x 8 I might be in trouble as I heard windows 7 64 bit can't run dx8.
