Vortigem
Generally the stature of a persons character depends on their personality and the actions they choose, or lack thereof.
Matt
You can use MS Paint to edit the sprite of the player. All of the graphics in the game can be edited to your liking using MS Paint.

Vortigem
If you are using a Dx8 engine (an easy way to tell is if your sprites or tilesets are in .png format), [gimp](http://www.gimp.org/downloads/) is a free and fairly easy to use tool you can use to remove the white background. Zexion
> Get away from using pant or gimp…use paint.NET> > Best free painting software> > (Www.getpaint.net)To be honest, the only thing I wouldn't recommend GIMP for, would be text-art such as logos because although you can make professional quality logos on GIMP, the amount of effort it takes, is simply not worth it. That being said, I do use gimp for my pixel art, and while I am far from being professional, I'd like to think that I am above average. It really isn't the program that makes the spriter; if you can sprite then you would be able to on any program.

Are you sure it's not just that you don't understand GIMP so much? ![;)](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png)
