Honda, hes not been brought up right, if bottle fed and interacted with from a very young age they can be very nice pets, unfortunately for me i was lied to (like always on the internet) and bought him and hes a bit hyper to be out (like hes never been allowed out) and with a £1500 corner sofa, and stealing food (most animals do) i have to have him caged up inside, getting some money together ATM to fund a massive outdoor aviary. The Asian Palm Civet is the ONLY civet allowed in the UK without a DWA license. I took a lot of time to research ect and like usual, i never bought my pets from pet shops. Always buy from breeders who care for their animals not just to make a quick buck by interbreeding and causing all sorts of health problems.

On a brighter note, hes like a cat/monkey hybrid with a raccoon's face, but faster and loves to climb and play catch with cockroaches. Loves his bananas and if this thread gets more attention ill upload videos of Honda playing catch ![:)](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png)

Edit: He does come out, i sit playing black ops 2 and he comes out to play when kids are in bed as cant have him hurting them in any way. (edit 2: hes nocturnal)

Okay, so, do these sorts of pets not live very long or do you two manage to kill them off? 'Cause I've had two cats in my life and that's it. Oh, plus some fish.. Goldfish. Not even tropical ones.

Also, those must be so expensive.. Not just the animals themselves but all the equipment that goes with it..

Agreed, these pets and setup's/equipment are expensive if done correctly. They do live long its just i always find ways to upgrade my collection. None of my pets died apart from Sparky the electric catfish. I currently have my cat iv had for 6 years, my 4 year old Lhasa Apso, Honda iv had since jan this year, i recently sold all my reptiles etc to help raise some cash and to cut my costs down. When my nile monitor got 6ft i had to sell him as we found out my wife was expecting our second child, thus the room he had to himself had to be renovated and sterilized and made back into a standard bedroom instead of a room full of soil/trees lol.

edit: iv had alot more pets than listed, those were my "weird/unusual" pets.

I am so jealous of you Doug. We are not allowed to have hardly anything in California. I had to smuggle my ferrets in across the border from Arizona because they will be the death of California for some reason.

Ive had these through out the years since i was really young. Some of them dont live that long. Some of them I would trade to get something else. Some would never eat. Some my snakes i cought in the wild, and when i moved i had to let them go. My Tokay Gecko was really mean, and i had to wear ski gloves to handle him. He would bark like a dog at me, so i traded him in for something else. My knife fish i got when it was 3 inches long, and grew to be over 2 feet. I had to trade him in because he was too big.

My Conure is the one that really troubles me. I think he ate a posionous plant i think. He was perfectly fine, then the next day he died. There was a plant near his cage, but i didnt know it would be bad. I feel really bad for him… they are supposed to live a long time, but i have no idea what happened to him.

Oh i also had an iguana that i had to get rid of because he got to big, and i had two ferrets. Ferrets can become sickly, and my boy got cancer and died. Then my girl died shortly after of a broken hear i think, but they were both at the normal life expectancy.

Thanks Gwen, that's my trouble, ill have a nice pet and ill see something else and will end up trading here and there to get rarer pets, my Tokay was a little bugger too, had to wear gloves at first. Iv also had ferrets, had 9 at one point but im focusing on building honda a huge outdoor enclosure in the summer so needed to get rid of the hutches outside to make room. Sacrifice was necessary but when you have a expensive companion the lesser value pets have to go to make room. Some people would slate me, and you, for openly admitting trading ect but at the end of the day id rather they went to a loving home than come second best to another pet. Luckily Britian is not that strict when it comes to pets and if i had to smuggle ferrets in just to own one i might of looked at pets in a different way.
