The Oracle
@Zetta:> wait, theres no freakin way that the map size is > 4294967296…then again, it IS cyrus…
Godlord
> -Scrolling maps of size 10000000000000000000000x1000000000000000000000004294967296 < 10000000000000000000000So it's impossible with 32-bit. Besides, knowing that Eclipse loads all maps you'd at least need a x86-128 processor with over 1EB of RAM, which doesn't exist. So I lol'd hard at this.@The:> then again, it IS cyrus…I've met him, he doesn't know a shit.Regards, Godlord. Homicidal Monkey
no, that number exceeds the 64bit signed integer maximum.value of signed int 64: [-9,223,372,036,854,775,808, 9,223,372,036,854,775,807]also, vb6 can only access 256mb of ram per type. Homicidal Monkey
@zonova:> so thats kind of a fake?> > whats an EB? couldnt find i t on google..ExoByte. Exobyte is about 1000 TeraBytes which is about 1000 gigabytes. To give you an idea: You would be able to live-OS the whole internet if you had 1EB of ram. saadhamza
ah, ok. thats… alot of memory ^-^.im gonna doubt were gonna need that much for a few years XD
Godlord
@zonova:> so thats kind of a fake?> > whats an EB? couldnt find i t on google..EB stands for Exabyte. 64-bit processors can in theory address up to 16EB, that is in theory. However AMD64 processors can only address up to 256TB.1EB = 1024PB (Petabyte).1PB = 1024TB (Terabyte).1TB = 1024GB (Gigabyte).etc.**Addendum**: [Wikipedia](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/128-bit) states the following: "There are currently no mainstream general-purpose processors built to operate on 128-bit integers or addresses".Regards, Godlord. Godlord
@Mellowz:> Point is, it supports big maps. Seriously, I don't believe he can get over 100x100 when mentioning a feature like that.Regards, Godlord.
xeross
He probably just implemented seamless non-scrolling maps thus creating an illusion of 1huge scrolling map.Regards, Xeross
