Yes possible if you have time to rewrite some parts of the engine.

The only different SQL Would make: - User Saving/Loading will be faster - Server Startup Loading will be Faster - PHP + MySQL = Webprogrammer can make wounderufll things with that. - SQL Server and Host Server can be on different machine when plain files cant. thats all things i can come up with so far and rember that SQL and Plain File Servers can be equally fast if they are programmed right but plain files cant be faster than SQL in these things that i mentioned.
