Admiral Refuge
EE2.8 is using unnown's fix, which really isn't a fix, it just resends the data if it's frozen for too long; ballie posted the real solution, but it's abit buggy.Just do what I do (even Ambardia Online does this), and have a scripted hotkey that resends the data, so the player presses it when it freezes up:```Case 1 Call PlayerWarp(Index, GetPlayerMap(Index), GetPlayerX(Index), GetPlayerY(Index)) Call PlayerMsg(Index, "Unfrozen", RED) Exit Sub```That one, would be for the "Page up" key.The player hits it, he automatically gets unfrozen from that "Receiving Map" thing. Irhymer
Hm… mine is different.. It just jumps alot while im moving. Like i move back a tile while im moving, and its a little annoying. Ill just stick with 2.7... i dont really need the stuff in 2.8 :P
emblem
In the server, find "sendplayerxy2" and remove the line that sends that packet.Should fix it.

Irhymer
Um… which one do i delete.. Their are alot of them... :huh:When i delete one, i get errors from functions that use it, when i compile. And theirs no 2.. i hope that was a typo. :P
emblem
It wasn't a typo.There should be something along the lines of (random guess)```SendData(Index, "playerxy2" & SEP_CHAR & GetPlayeX(Index) & SEP_CHAR & GetPlayerY(Index) & SEP_CHAR & END_CHAR)```Near the packet that moves the player.(Forget the name of the packet … playermove?) Irhymer
i think i found it!Is it this? :cheesy:```Call SendDataToMap(GetPlayerMap(index), "playerxy" & SEP_CHAR & index & SEP_CHAR & GetPlayerX(index) & SEP_CHAR & GetPlayerY(index) & END_CHAR)```
emblem
```Sub SendPlayerNewXY(ByVal index As Long) Call SendDataTo(index, "PLAYERNEWXY" & SEP_CHAR & GetPlayerX(index) & SEP_CHAR & GetPlayerY(index) & END_CHAR)End Sub```Change that too (comment out the packet)```Sub SendPlayerNewXY(ByVal index As Long) 'Call SendDataTo(index, "PLAYERNEWXY" & SEP_CHAR & GetPlayerX(index) & SEP_CHAR & GetPlayerY(index) & END_CHAR)End Sub```

Admiral Refuge
@Mellowz:> Can't re-produce this on my server. ):> > I'm going to try to catch it on Ambardia Online.Just have the server going, with like, 5 diff maps.Hold shift to have infinite run, and start running from map to map; within about 2-5 warps, you'll eventually hit the freeze; it helps to also use the shift-click to warp around as well; helps encourage the freezing.
