Clastic
can vista run the VB6?and do i even need VB6 to write programs/scripts for EE 2.7?
balliztik1
Yes.No.VB6 will run on Vista. You just have to make sure to install all the components (library files and other related VB dlls). Goddie has a guide around here somewhere for getting Eclipse to work with Vista. Same thing for VB6, except you may need a bit of tweaking. And no, you don't need VB6 to make scripts. Scripting is purely text that is read into the server. It's entirely external and you can use any word processor to edit it. Notepad is a default choice, but there are programs like Notepad++, Programmer's Notepad, UltraEdit, etc. with features specifically for scripting and programming languages. You just have to know your stuff, basically.

Patrick
If it didn't I would've said to run compatibility to XP.
