konlee
Okay. First of all, I **believe** I port forwarded correctly (Not completely sure). So, I'll go over my port forwarding steps, then get onto my current issue.Okay, to port forward, I found out my router model number and I followed the instructions on the port forwarding website. Eventually, I had to go to my router's page on Linksys and do this:![](http://i630.photobucket.com/albums/uu21/KonleeZero9/ex.jpg)Then, I was like, yayayayay, and I followed a tutorial (Don't remember which but it was relevant) and I made a copy of my client and renamed it to Player's Client.![](http://i630.photobucket.com/albums/uu21/KonleeZero9/ex2.jpg)Then I was like, yay, so port forwarding is done. Now how do I get it out to others?I read a tutorial about sending your game to other people, and it said to go to your client folder, right click, ~~add~~ send to-> compressed (zip folder).![](http://i630.photobucket.com/albums/uu21/KonleeZero9/ex3.jpg)Then, I uploaded that file to filefront. But when someone tries to play it, the server is offline– Even though it's up and on for _me_. Help me, please!
balliztik1
Do they have the correct IP address? You use 127.0.0.1, but they have to use your external IP address.

konlee
Is the ip 192.168.1.xxx IP on the linksys page (Image 1) my static IP or something else?Is it what I should have in my client's IP config, because I think that's the 1 it is.
balliztik1
No. That's your relative IP, for lack of the correct term. 192.168.1.2 means the second device in the first connection. 192.168.2.4, for example, would be the fourth device of the second connection, and so on.You can find your external IP here: http://ipchicken.com/
konlee
So is that what goes in my client's IP Config?
balliztik1
That's what goes in others' client IPs. You use the 127.0.0.1\. They use whatever your external address is.

konlee
If I delete one, I won't have both the player's client and the regular client. But then I tried doing it in the different folders… The compressed (zipped) one and the one I use, and they are different there so I guess it works. konlee
Delete which client? How about all of the zipped folders and clients that I have, excluding the one I started out with after first downloading eclipse? Then start freshh with uploading. konlee
Also, before I upload the zipped one, can I delete the regular client or the player's so that there is only one client? I'm asking this just because people who don't use EE may be confused on what to play.ALSOIn my original client folder, after uploading / making the zip, does it matter if I delete the player's client? Tdogthedog
how to portforward….Your "IP" is your internet "address" to the web.. think of the internet as a city and your IP is an address to your house... anyways... Go to http://www.ipchicken.com/ This is the ip that your friends need to connect to your game. This could also be the same IP on your server depending on static IP and all the fun stuff.. but anyways go to the site and should work
