Silver is limited

Gold - those limitations are gone

Ask a Gold Member about how is to have the Gold version of the engine, if it's really worth paying :)

Here is the link, PM some of them: [http://www.eclipseorigins.com/community/index.php?app=members§ion=view&module=list&filter=43](http://www.eclipseorigins.com/community/index.php?app=members§ion=view&module=list&filter=43)

Hey one easy question. I dint want to spam to every member with gold, so i hope that someone can tell it here :)

If i buy gold, will i get a new download for client and server or only the goldstatus? When i login with the goldaccount, is the client automaticly gold too with custom gui support and so on, or will i get a goldclient?

Thanks :)

Best regards, TGSlp

Well I am not sure if you have decided on buying gold yet. But I can't remember there being a new download needed, it just turns your account gold opening up more files in the admin files that gives you the GUI editor and your new max limits will be set for maps houses etc.. You will just need to wait for someone to change your account to gold manually…

Why buy gold indeed. I would say don't. Spend a few bucks on hiring a reliable programmer instead, to have a UNIQUE game. With Eclipse Gold, sure you can have a great game, such as (NEED ONE SINGLE GAME MADE WITH EO4 HERE), but it would be exactly the same as every other game made with Eclipse Gold.

If this is just a hobby for you, try out silver and see if you can make a playable game that other people enjoy (may be hard to do with Silver's mediocre limitations) and _then_ if you want to pursue that game further, buy gold.

Otherwise, select a base engine from the near two-dozen available, and modify it to suit your needs.

Hope this helped.

I have to agree and disagree with some posts, heres my opinion:

If you want out of the box game where you can begin mapping and dont have to worry about bugs/errors/coding/getting a programmer; get silver and then upgrade when you feel the need to.

If you want a customized, original game then you will need to either code your own from a base or pay someone to code for you.

The thing that really makes your game stand out is your graphics, story line, location, and people u meet in game. The engine is important don't get me wrong but, Call of Duty used the same engine that made Modern warfare 2 for Modern Warfare 3\.  MW2 was and is considered to be one of the best COD's out there. The difference is they spent more time in graphics and story line in MW2\. MW3 was pretty good but it lacked a lot in the story its self. Which made for a dull game.    With EO4 gold it takes off a lot of caps and lets you be able to customize a bit more. But that's for someone who is really serious about building a game and getting it out there to sell it.  If u really want your game to be different hire and artist or a story writer. That's what makes a game stand out more then anything anymore. EO4 does cost money but it helps u in letting you build a big world with lots of potential quest and scenery. Honestly this is a good game creator sub 100$ You can't find anything that competes with it for the money. Plus to create a game u don't have to spend hours and hours in code you can just click and place. This is just so user friendly it's not even funny.       link- to the engine for COD - [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IW_engine](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IW_engine)
