If the shoutbox is gone, this community is pretty much dead. The only thing that keep it's heart beats, are the members chatting on shoutbox, lately, they don't even bother anymore. So, I don't see how that could work.

The problem with Eclipse is that the Owner always pick inactive staff or useless ones, mainly because they are friends in reality or share some past here on this forum.

Didn't happen, so, you can only assume, meaning that being "real" is useless. A lot of people fail because they always put the bad part in front of them, that doesn't make them smarter or stronger. I, personally, better regret doing a thing, than regreting for not doing it.

@Madalin, those color combinations are optional, you make it feel like everyone is bound to use them. As an artist I suggest you to let it all flow free in your imagination, you don't need to be bound by other's rules. As for the Logo, I can say that the Gradient on that T letter doesn't look good. I understand that you wanted that T to be your short Signature of your Logo, that's good, edit it a little bit more. And Madaling is right about that object behind Studios, needs to be a little darker to highlight the Logo, and a little transparent if you want.

Let's take as an example a game that managed to survive only with Supporter Packs and cosmetics. [Very very rare for a game to be Free and non Pay2Win] [I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post the game's name] People Support the game because they want to play the game more enjoying a better experience. Same will be with the engine, wich will get Support for further development, IF they will be pro enough and nice enough to talk to their community whenever there is something bothering it. There really is no competition, maybe I'm blind, but there is no 2D MMORPG Engine out there that ain't in vb6, when EclipseV will come out, it will be the only one, at least for a certain amount of time. **As for the Official Scripts and Custom Made ones here is my idea** **Anyone is free to Post their Own Scripts, though, those who want to make money off of them, first it will need to go trough a few steps:** **1\. The Script needs to be analyzed by the staff, making sure there is no theft** **2\. After 1#, the Scripts needs to get Approved ** **3\. If the Script is Approved, then the Owner will put a Price on it** **4\. An x% amount of the revenue goes to Eclipse [Eclipse is nice enough to let you sell your stuff in here, now help Eclipse a bit too]** **Example: Blabla Script, Price: 10$, Eclipse's Share: 20% [Depending on the price, there needs to be some sort of formula wich will generate a Fair amount of Share, or 20% might be alright]**

One little suggestion [because I have my reasons to doubt that Now, Eclipse will go in the right direction, though I have patience] If you guys want to make a living off of your product, then you need to convince people to put money into it, not only for you to have something to eat, but for the engine's sake and further development of it. People will be glad to help, because basically they will help themselves. [they want to create something nice, first they need to give back something nice] That means it has to have no limitations, no Gold n Silver, no Admin approval or things like that. You can keep it Closed Source if you want, but a Scripting thingie would be greatly appreciated. **A few ideas wich can work nice together:** ** Feature Goal Suggestion ** **Things needed**: **Poll** [people will vote and add their most wanted feature & tool they want to see in the engine, not game features like guild and housing but Engine features such as new tools or something like that] People will have 1 week to vote and add the most needed features to the poll. Admins will set 1 Month[or whatever] as the Time Limit and the Goal Amount. Order: From less to the most expensive and complex feature/upgrade, people voted. Like Kickstarter **Goal: 10$** [1st Feature guaranteed] 10$ - 1st Feature **Goal Stretch** 50$ - 2nd Feature/Upgrade or whatever doesn't have to be another feature, could be an upgrade to the 1st Feature. 100$ - etc. **Scripts Shop** Official Scripts made by Eclipse, you will have to be receptive to what people need. That way they will buy the Scripts, even though some members might post their own Scripts for free, the difference is that they will have Official Support and of course they are helping the development. **It's much better to have people willing to sustain the community than to force them to do so trough drastic limitations.**

Do you own a Router? Or you only have the modem? If you only have the modem but no router, then you don't need to portforward, just search on google "what's my ip" and will show your Public IP. Then copy and paste that **Public IP** into your **config.ini** [folder data - config.ini] If you have a Router connected to a Modem, you will need to log into your Router **How to do so?** 1\. Open **Command Prompt** 2\. Type in **ipconfig** and press Enter 3\. Search for **Default Gateway**, copy and paste it into your browser 4\. A log in box will pop up, if you didn't change your username/password, the default might be **Username:** admin **PW:** admin After you logged in, search a Tab called **Portforwarding **[depends on your router] There you will put your **Internal IP [not the public one]** and your game's **Port** [example: Port: 4000 - 4000, open your config.ini to see what port you set for your game] For the **Protocol** choose **Both** [if available] **Save** **To test if your portforwarding works, go to [http://www.canyouseeme.org/](http://www.canyouseeme.org/), and type your game's port.** **If it gives you an Error, means you did something wrong, if it says it's Open, then you did good, and players can join your game.**
