Guest
Maybe to display art like in wow? It works quite well yknow.

It works quite well yknow. In WoW maybe, I'm guessing it has to load a lot of resources, data etc. On the other hand, engines like Eclipse really have no use for these. Guest
True, but if youre using EO, you can make maps any size, thus you can have lots of npcs, resources and attributes on one map, which would be quite a lot of data wouldnt it?

Robin
Origins actually loads data faster than any other version of Eclipse. There only reason the loading screen is even there is for the initial connection time out process. No point adding loading screens when it takes a second or so to load the data. PD
You got a point there but its always nice to have a slik looking loading screen :P
DrNova
loading screens are "classic", like the oldschool "Press Start" on consoles that hung around from arcade machines.
Robin
@Zesh:> You got a point there but its always nice to have a slik looking loading screen :PThere is absolutely no point making a loading screen no one will ever see. Simply having the game instantly load up looks much, much better than a loading screen.
Gohan
Normal people just wish the loading screen would go away faster and are too busy watching that little loading bar go up to give a damn about the art.
