Batch Convert .PNG Backgrounds to Transparent?

Is there any tool I can use to convert all my sprites etc to transparent. What I do currently is:

* Split into Single Sprites using my splitter
* Convert to PNG using 123 Graphic Converter

How can I make the black background transparent on all these automatically in the fastest way possible?

Do I have to do each image separately or is there a Batch convert function thingo. Also photoshop doesn't really work fast on computers and this needs to be something every one can use _easily_.

Obviously it has a batch processing system. I wouldn't have suggested it otherwise.

I do all my batch image processing with Photoshop. Allows you to record a macro then set it going on entire directories.

That's what I use because it actually is fast. It only crashes if I open 1000 images or so, but it's good. Photoshop is always slow though.

Photoshop CS5 works fine on my pc.No lag.

Well anyway. I tried with a ATN file I downloaded. Didn't work.

You failed once so you're reporting back that it didn't work? Google how to use batch commands and stop being such a mong.

hmm, why didn't you convert the whole sprite sheet to png, then remove the background, then split them?

Because that'd require problem solving skills that he obviously doesn't possess. ;D
