There once was a bug in IE that people exploited to run EXEs in the browser, but that got patched up (i think), the files needed to even exploit it have been removed from its original site, if they even still exist on the internet.

but the flaw was that it ONLY worked in IE, and it wouldn't allow direct draw.

Those reasons are why the "bug" never became real popular.
