Thoughts, opinions, CC. Just messing around with some banner designs. Can't decide which style I like more.

Bottom one looks better, but take the racing stripes from #1 and add it to 2.

Alright, I added the stripes. Took awhile, and I'm still not happy with the way they turned out. Just couldn't quite make it look right.

The new one is better in my opinion. I like the lazers/racing stripes.

  Well, no specific purpose for the banner, nor theme. I was trying out some techniques with a goal of achieving a crimson(ish) banner and sort of a darker feel (demonic? Not the word I want, too extreme). Kinda designed it as if it were a forum signature banner or site banner.

  IF anyone wants to throw some text or images on them and use these for themselves feel free. Just let me know.

yeah newest one looks good.

The reason the racing stripe is useful, is for giving emphasis to whatever font/text you are going to use on it, and would act as a sort of Strikeout effect - but being semi-transparent, it tends to give the word/title a bit more balls than simply sitting on background all by itself and is not bold enough to act as an actual strikethrough.

Anyway, here is a 2 minute play around with your background, i thought of blood when i saw it, hence the mock up game banner.. but yeah keep doing what you are doing.
