_Searching for a Tileset and Sprite Artist…_

The "Origin: The Legend Reborn" developers have now started looking for a talented artist! If accepted, your job will be to make most of the in-game visuals look amazing. We're all sure RMXP graphics will get us pretty much nowhere, so we thought it was time to give Origin a new look.

**The Developers:** These are the members you will be working with to develop the game.

_Lightning_ - The Head Developer of "Origin: The Legend Reborn". Lightning programmes all the in-game material and looks over the development of the rest of the game.

_SnowStorm_ - Item Artist and Bug Finder. SnowStorm also develops current and future ideas in Origin. **_You will also be working with SnowStorm on paperdoll development._**

_Oxymoron_ - Creative Director. Oxymoron also develops current and future ideas in Origin. He also develops the storyline and handles the current goings-on in Alguas.

_Socuine_ - GUI Artist. Newest to the team, Socuine designs all the user-interfaces for Origin. His current works for Origin are the autoupdater skin and game logo.

**Main Game Features:**

* **DirectX 8 Graphics Engine** - The new updated Graphics Engine allows for better features to be developed.
* **Eclipse-Unique Item Socketing System** - This allows for upgrading of weapons and armours, allowing for hundreds of combinations of the same item.
* **Dungeon Instancing** - Tired of working on killing a boss for a long time and another player comes along and steals your kill and loot? Do not worry! This dungeon instancing system makes sure only you and your party can face this boss, with no interruptions. It also allows for players to fight the boss multiple times simultaneously!
* **Pet System** - Always wanted your own "Man's Best Friend"? No worries! Take you little pal on the adventure with you!
* **Guild System** - Make a union with friendly players and face other unions together!
* **Quest System** - Interact with the environment around you: help out the inhabitants of Alguas against the dark Necrophis forces!
* **[Game Lore](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/smf/index.php/topic,61106.0.html)** - Learn the ways of the inhabitants of Alguas, and learn of Alguas' past.
* **[War of the Eight Lords](http://origindevs.blogspot.com/2011/05/war-of-eight-lords.html)** - Make an alliance with one of the Eight Lords of Alguas and stamp out the remaining Lords for global domination.
* **Class Traits** - Customize your characters' attack set to suit you!

**Job Outline:**

* Design and Create suitable tilesets and matching sprites for the game. Sprites include playable and non-playable sprites. (Paperdoll objects may be needed later, but not at the moment.)
* The ability to work to relatively short deadlines and handing in artwork on time. Your work may be needed for me to release a new part of the game on time.
* The ability to work to a high standard and keep work consistent throughout development.
* Communication is key. You will have to relay back what you have done to Lightning or one of the other developers at least once per week.
* The ability to act maturely to potential and current players.
* The ability to speak and understand good English.
* Full dedication to developing graphics for "Origin: The Legend Reborn". You must not be working for another game whilst developing this. However, if you have a lot of time on your hands and can provide amazing work for both games, then this will be accepted.

**Workload:**

* Initial: **High Workload**. Player Sprite Bases, tilesets, NPC Sprites and Animations will need to be created. This will all take place within six to eight weeks.
* Overall: **Medium Workload.** Once all the main details are out of the way, your workload will be reduced significantly. From then on, new NPCs, tiles etc. will need to be created, but over a longer time-period.

* If you are accepted, you will be able to work with a mature, friendly and dedicated team.
* Being recognised as a developer of "Origin: The Legend Reborn" on the game forums (to be released), development blog etc.
* Getting an insight to unreleased game data and features before anyone else.

**How to Apply:**
Simply post your details below. This should also be grouped with previous works. This includes previous **tilesets**, **sprites** and how much **experience** you have had in the past. A few screenshots for each should suffice. (Except for "experience", of course.)

Definitely think the caliber is too high for me but, whatever, worth a shot.

Experience: Um, I've worked alot with MapleStory sprites, like for maybe a year and a half to two years (though not very seriously), making custom stuff for animations and such. Recently got into Miscellaneous spriting, like maybe two or three weeks ago. Ive made bits and pieces of tile sets for a friend's game, though not very good in my opinion. He kept swapping out character styles, so I gave up and was going to create my own game.
            The only problem was, that I'm pretty horrendous with coding, so that's why I'm here.  If i get in ill discontinue mine and work for you guys :>

Mind you, these are pretty much all the sprites I've ever done, so a good chunk of them are ones I'm not at all proud of, they're chronological, so dont look at the ones in the back ;D

It does include spell animations. Most map animations will be handled with my particle engine, once I optimise it.
