Changed sizes around instead of working off of everything being 16x16\. Still retro, but helped to keep consistency.

Working on some samurai helms. Obviously the classes will be associated with elements. Fire, Water, and Earth.

EDIT:

Undead class wearing the "kasa." Zombies will play a big part in the game  :P

I have had this concept in mind for as long as I have put thought into Dark Bushido. I am trying to make the baddie look like a zombie/skeleton dude without resembling this…

Update.

Had another thread showing off the tiles, but decided I wouldn't bother up the show-off section with multiple threads.

Decided to change around the tiles. I  am still going to map overworlds only, however, I decided to make the things on the map huge. Stuff will no longer take up only one tile as my previous tileset did.

EDIT:

Ignore the bridge. Still working on making it match the other tiles. Its tought because techincally being a "floor tile," it appears more detailed than the rest of the ground tiles.

Haha. Everything was created on a 16x16 scale. However, depending on the proportion of the object to the sprites, I resized things. I really didn't plan on keeping things equivalent in terms of the borders.

it's artistic choice obviously.  I tried something like that a while ago, but people weren't ready for it so I scratched it.

It does a few things.  first off, it changes focus to those things that are higher resolution.  Then it provides a texture to everything.  And then of course it's fucking sexy ;)
