Here's some art for a game I've been pixelling for named 'Crawle'. More info on that [here](http://sleepystudios.com/forumdisplay.php?fid=10).

Tell me what ya' think:

Not bad, but there's a bit of inconsistency. It's not fitting that some sprites and tiles (humans, chest, ladder) have the black outline, and others don't. The trees and house also needs depth, and I'd think about making the tree's leaves less 'ball-like'. Perhaps some simply water would look nice too.

The characters look damn sexy. The grass, dirt and fit in pretty well with the characters for me. The water doesn't feels like water at all. The tree doesn't fits with the tiles and the characters at all. Plus, listen to Kreator. Having black outlines on some sprites and on others not is really confusing. Try to match a single style.

I think they look fine, but as others have mentioned there is inconsistency with some things being outlined and others not so much. I think the trees would benefit from having a dark outline similiar to the chest so that they stand out more from the grass. The roof could use better texture. The water could be done to fit the style better as well. But these are just my opinions of course. Pretty good overall.

Oh wow, I'm not used to this many replies..

Anyways, I forgot about the outlines, this is a bit of an old mock-up. At one point in time I was going to outline everything you can interact with, but pretty much everything would've been outlined, so I stopped in the middle. Right now, the only things outlined are characters.

I honestly agree with you on the trees. I made them pretty quickly (it was actually a joke) and when the others saw it they liked it. *shrug*

I think I will make a simpler water to match the style a bit better as well.

Thanks for all the feedback and compliments!

Also, the forums got hacked not too long after making this topic.
I have my suspicions.. >.>

I used the wrong grass (oops), so don't worry about it. >.<

The dirt path to the left? I like how it blends in..
If you're talking about the path to the right, I used bad coloring, the grey one looks better I guess.

The mock-up was mainly about the water. >.<

I meant the one on the right. The left one is decent.

Yes actually xD. I was wondering when someone would notice. (the birch trees gave it away I'm sure)

As for the dungeon floor, I did notice it wasn't as dark as I thought it was. (I made 'em a while back)

New stuff:

Reminds me of H&H so much, but looks better. Maybe this will be a similar but less laggy version. That is one of the major problems with it.

Anyways, nice pixels. Looks very clean and soft to match the sprites, even with the black outline (which I think looks cool). Can't wait to try this out.
