Classes vs No classes

Do you, the people of Eclipse prefer as typical class system like you would see in games like World of Warcraft and Rift or would all of you rather see a no class system closer to the resemblance of Skyrim?

I prefer no classes and the opportunity to build your own. I do prefer a level cap though so you can't be good at everything like Skyrim.

i think this is dependant on what game really, and more open free roam game benefits from a no class system more than like a linear story game

A no class system is simpler for both players and developers. Less content in terms of tutorial and class only items needs to be made. On the player side it can be very difficult to select something that effects your entire game experience before you even start playing. Often times players will regret their choice when they see content for other classes they cant access.

I've seen class-based systems that are very in-depth and I've seen non-class based systems that are very in-depth. You can't really say one is better than the other, it depends on your game really.

Its not whats better, its what do you prefer.

I prefer classes, everyone seems more unique. Most classless games really feel like you are just like everyone else.
