Dark Crusade Posted May 10, 2012 Author Share Posted May 10, 2012 World of Hyrule. Project I worked on with Japez and Spainion 3-4 years ago until Nintendo raped us in the ass. Found these two alpha testing screenshots on my old HDD. We got all sorts of legal threats and cease and desist letters from Nintendo. We were about to release beta testing too, everything was looking swell! I think it may have been better if you would have renamed it, you used original artwork anyways. Well, I'm not sure if the likeness would be close enough to warrant legal issues. We were using their 'Intellectual Property', which wasn't just limited to the fact we were using the names 'hyrule', in our title, and having the same place names. All our npcs resembled their creatures, dodongos, guay, armos, etc. Our world layout was Hyrule in Ocarina of Time. With them watching us closely, if we were to rename and remake what we had, we would have had to remap the entire game world, make all new monsters, replace some items, rename everything, etc. Be better off just making a new original game. The tentacles were to be submerged in water, as the colouring reveals.Middle of Castletown, and the spawn point. I've done so much work and design my my original IP 'Elandor Chronicles' however. One day I hope to make it happen. Not sure when, since I'm getting older and wiser I'm thinking about actually saving and pouring in money into the project, hiring professional programmers and such. Tileset is great work, but the sprites itself just doesn't look good at all. That might be my opinion tho. Everyone has their own opinion and thats mine.would've been something great..
