lordphrozen
I was just about to post about this… hey robin, care to lend a hand? This one goes out of my area of expertise...
JohnPony
Just get a font creator, i am sure there is one in the resources board, choose the size & font and save it, It should give you a .png img and a .dat file. Place that in the "Data Files/graphics/fonts/" folder and declare the new font in modText ;)
lordphrozen
I looked through the resources forum and was unable to locate it. without knowing what made the dat file, im just shooting in the dark googling it…
Exception
There's one on Echostorms that I used a while ago with DX8..http://www.echostorms.net/programs/Bitmap%20Font%20Builder.rarIt exports a .DAT, and it also exports a BMP, so it requires you to do some further tweaking in Photoshop, or Paint.NET, or whatever you've got, to make the background transparent. Yxxe
@lordphrozen:> This doesnt work. Did you try this before recommending it?If CS:DE doesn't have a texture rendering function which can scale textures through code, I must be going mad.

lordphrozen
@John:> LordPhrozen always knows what he is talking about.CS:DE does infact havea method of scaling sprites through its calls, the chatbox however is another beast entirely. as it uses seperate drawing methods then the rest of the engine. But hey, what do I know?
lordphrozen
Take a look at the chatbox code…. using the other rendering function is not possible. Or i will eat the hat im wearing in my avatar.

Try a little harder next time, eh?
lordphrozen
This hat tastes of soot, and poo. Any chance of sharing the replacement for the code?
