  1. Dear god, that face D:
  2. @Crest: > I do not agree with corporal punishment at all, In fact what id beating a child going to teach them? In fact when I was a child it hurt me more to hear my parents say "I'm disappointed" then it did for them to hit me ._. Which way did you learn things the fastest as a kid? For example, in my opinion, i think you learned the lesson for a lot faster when you touched the hot part of an iron yourself then when your parents kept telling you to be careful around it. I think that, if corporal punishment is limited to teaching a lesson in a strict way, and isn't used simply to bring pain or revenge, then it can be useful. I'm not sure if it should be ok to use on children, but maybe our country could be a lot more strictly run if criminals had to worry about painful punishment and not just jail-time.
  3. @Kusy: > Discussing this is just as pointless as discussing stoning as a form of punishment for infidelity or concentration camps - anyone with a quarter of a brain knows it's wrong, and anyone who think it's not is not worth talking to. Just curious, what do you think of the electric chair or other death penalties? Personally, i'm all for them, but i was wondering what your opinion was. @General-Pony: > I am not saying that they are more sacred, but to me they are. I am sure if i was a woman i would find a man sacred, its just about the feeling of needing to protect the opposite gender. I'm a man, and i feel no need to protect the opposite gender, i think they can handle that themselves :P Well, unless it's in a physical fight, then men usually have the upper hand. But if we're talking about "sacredness" and other words of value then no, i value both genders equally. @Eckhart: > I do not believe that there's a single person under the age of 50 who supports corporal punishment. You will find no one who supports this on this website. Erm, actually, i disagree. I'm not completely set on this, but in my mind corporal punishment, within bounds, seems alright and pretty useful. Sure, what happens in this video is completely out of hand and the dirtbag judge should be fired for it. Still, i'm trying to think my way through the entire concept, and i see some benefits to it.
  4. Oh wow, nice. It looks a bit odd in the lighting from the picture, but it looked really good in the other pictures on the link. I want some >.<
  5. @John: > I think the movie really makes you think, i mean honestly i don't see how some people think we inhabit the only livable planet in time & space. Well, if God had wanted the other "life" on other planets to be important, then he would have made the universe revolve around their planet. But it doesn't, as we all know the universe revolves around ours! God Bless humans, and our savior Jesus for bringing us the sacred text!
  6. I kinda like the Squeal of Fortune. Its fun. I still think the game is great, especially since you can do a lot without paying. Also, no client download so i can play when the duck i want :3
  7. Oh shit, i loved FFTA. I'll have to get on sometime, looks cool.
  8. Why would this be a particular resource hog? It's made with Unity engine, which is pretty decent. I think that they'll be making it as optimized as possible.

    Military?

I think it just depends on why you're joining.
  10. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rttS8X43kBI This looks sick…
  11. Lol, i'm hoping that you can still block players like you used to be able to, the advertising was so annoying. Vindictus wasn't really my thing, but it was pretty fun for a while. You may like it more then me though, i'm too picky
  12. Yup, so anyone still play? Or have any news about it? I know that they did a combat system revamp or something which is cool. I've heard that their is less hacking then there was before too. So, i'm downloading it right now to try. I'll probably remake a character on Mari, i heard it was the most active. If anybody happens to know anything about how the game is doing, i'd love to know :)
  13. That.. was hilarious xD
  14. Wow, that's really cool.
  15. I thought the video was pretty cool. A lot of people debated on what it meant. I liked one idea, where they talked about it representing reaching maturity or something, and that the girl was running away from "growing up" which is why she got it so suddenly at the end.
  16. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6QFwo57WKwg What do you guys think?
  17. @Synergy: > although every religion is the same: False :3
  18. Yeah, it is a bit overpriced, though it's not without reason i think. They don't have all of the luxuries that big companies like Nintendo have what with manufacturing costs, etc. They also don't have game companies paying them royalties, which also accounts for why other portable consoles are cheaper. Oh, and also, they're working on a new version for the future, they're doing a test run right now. Estimated about 50% faster, with better gpu, cpu, and ram, as well as a sturdier case. The test run units are super expensive, around 700$, but some people are more than willing to buy them. I probably would to, because i'm a super-fanboy… but i don't have that much cash D':
  19. The thing about this stuff is… it doesn't make any sense. Which is probably why there is so little evidence behind it and why it's all so iffy. So, if it all makes sense to you, then please get into physics :P With religion and miracles... that's kind of the point. It's an explanation for the nothingness that was before. God doesn't need a creator. That's something humans can't fully grasp i think, since in our world everything is created. Kind of like why quantum mechanics doesn't come naturally to us, because that's not the world we live in.
  20. I'm not a physicist, but i think that at this point in time, we're at a point where hey're trying to figure out the entire universe and quantify it with a laws, like string theory. I had some really nice ideas about it a while back, but then i stopped caring and forgot ^^; My bad
  21. Mmm, sure! I'll play sometime, let me find my username really quick though. Jagex is bichin' at me.
  22. Alright everyone, just wanting to advertise a bit to those that don't know. And no, this isn't self promotion, i'm just promoting an item that i love… a lot. It's called the Open Pandora: http://openpandora.org/ It is basically a DS sized portable PC type thing, except that it's more of a gaming device created for emulators. It runs emulators up to PS1 smoothly, and can even run some N64 games full speed, with many more becoming more than playable. It also has a touch screen, with a full keyboard and an 11 hours battery life. Here's a review of one, if you're interested: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2CA0UE6yRQ I personally think it's freaking great. They've recently gotten new manufacturing partners who work really well, and things are gaining speed quickly. The reason you probably haven't heard of them is because they haven't advertised So, in the end, even if you don't want to buy one, at least try to support their cause! ^^ Spread word to anyone you think may be interested. As for me, i'll be playing my Twisted Metal and Final Fantasy Tactics all day long on this thing
  23. What the… oh god.... no! it's all a lie!
  24. @Jungle: > False. Internet girls strip and do kinky things. Only if you throw your credit card number at them :3 Real girls do it for free, as long as you're good with words~
  25. @Jungle: > I would appreciate it if someone would give me their spare copy :3 I can send you to this beach i've been to. People refer to as the "Bay". Some pirates live there too, or so rumor has it.
