Your canvas height and width must be multiples of 32 to work with the Eclipse engine. A common size of a sprite is width 32 and height 64.

When doing future pixel art, make the canvas the correct size to begin with.

GIMP is the worst piece of *BEEP* ever. Fireworks is good for creating layouts like GUIs and stylish text + buttons.

I formatted your tree into a 32x32 grid so it's ready to be used:  I think it could do with being a lot bigger because of the sprite size and shading needs to be improved.
