    Happy 4/20

Nothing worth celebrating about 4/20\. Hitler was born on that day. -.-
  2. I believe DOS works in Windows 7 because the command prompt/Run.exe is still in it which is powered by DOS. I could be wrong though.
  3. Windows 8 won't be out for a few years and even after that most people will still be using Windows XP/7\. I still like Windows XP over 7, just because of how much more CPU it requires. But by then I'm sure Origins will be long gone and something else will be in its place. You can always convert data over to the new engine too.
  4. I think the sprite colors look pretty good, try adding a tan one too. :P Earthen seems too dark, more of a mix between black and white.
  5. @Conra: > oh. Someone told me differently today. :) I am not sure how fast it is to get the cached value, but I was trying to say that it is nothing to notice.
  6. Updated title and topic. As for images I don't put much effort into the topic.
  7. Add me, [email protected]. I work on the project on my own pretty much, with an assistant programmers help. I can do all skills except composing. Website: http://www.arteixinc.com More information on the project can be talked over through MSN and Teamviewer if necessary.
  8. These are images from Rpg Maker XP, it's just most of the trees in resource form to fit Eclipse Origins. Credit goes to Enterbrain and me for doing the tree tops for trees that Enterbrain did not have trunks for. A few of them were done very quickly, but most are pretty good quality. Also touched up some of the trees and improved the colors. **Instructions:** Unzip the archive and place the files in the resources folder located inside the data files folder of the client. http://www.mediafire.com/?7708kef67moqicw
  9. No. The values are cached it takes like a millisecond to check.
  10. Can't really explain it well, try Ctrl + F OptionsRec, add Blood as Byte at the bottom of that. Then look for SaveOptions and LoadOptions, copy a line and rename the things to Blood. After that copy a set of radio buttons and rename them, then set it and save options when it is modified. You should know the basics of programming enough to figure this out on your own with this help though, don't feel like going through this in extreme detail. You should also add the exit out where its called, because it would stop from calling the sub in the first place. So if the blood count is greater than 1 it would have to exit out as many times as what the blood count equaled.
  11. You should use radio buttons and add a blood option to the OptionsRec and have it save this so it won't cause the bug you described above.
  12. @kyoghin: > I use over 20 colors when I do my sprites so I guess I'm doing it wrong. I think you need to go back and reread carefully the definition of pixel art..(Hint: There's a reason why it's called PIXEL art). Pixel art is when you use pixels to draw art with, but in paint you can use brushes/pencil tools to draw things. I still think there both similar enough to be considered the same thing. Little colors means don't use lots of colors, his art seems like it doesn't have enough colors. I was giving an example of why it is considered like pixel art.
  13. The shading on all your art is done completely wrong and the smoothness is very bad. @Devo: > finally, someone who isn't praising this guy because they want something out of him… > > I didnt want to post, but cmon, lets try and give the guy a little constructive help, as he needs a hell of alot of work on his pixel art, which really isnt pixel art, its MSPAINT art. Wut? Pixel art is when you use little colors, it doesn't matter what program you use. Such as no alpha channels/etc, his art can be considered pixel art.
  14. Origins is all code, not script, and converting the design is possible but the code won't be the same since VB6 isn't OO.
  15. Looks like one of those naughty game logos. ;D
  16. Nova you have 6 posts, you got 2 made for you, don't expect to have everything done for you. Begging doesn't help nor does saying that sucks to the person's photo who tried to help.
  17. Looks interesting, I'll give you that. :P
  18. It's the same design/idea, not the same code. You should look into the BltBars sub…
  19. Yes, just copy the image into a form, change all picAdmin mentions to frmAdmin. Name the form to frmAdmin. Move all calls in frmMain with cmdA in the first four letters over to the new form. And the scroll bars too, you can find the name by clicking on them.

    Bind Type?

That part of Origins wasn't finished. Don't worry about it unless you finish programming it. But it is simply a system that restricts a user from dropping an item.
  21. World Maps can be implemented simply by mapping a large map and adding warping attributes to it.
  22. It should work. Make sure you have End With below what you replace.
  23. @Devo: > Sometimes paying for something is a good incentive to actually learn how it works and how to make the most out of it. That's why I'm still using Origins. It kept me going since I actually invested money into WN, but it was worth it in the end. Has taught me a lot and Adobe isn't worth the money unless your a business if you ask me.
  24. Ctrl + F StartMap or StartX or StartY. Modify these values to change where a player spawns.
