Yeah I hear ya. I picked it up for $15 a long time ago, then loaned it to someone who had it "stolen" when his apartment was "burglarized" (more like he pawned it for drug money). Next time I ever saw one it was $50, but I was like "SOLD"!  Oh, Earthbound is a good find too. I've played it some on emulators, never had the pleasure of a real cartridge though. Fun game, standard RPG style but the self-referential parody of itself makes it extremely unique.

Nice, Mystic Quest is an extremely underrated FF game. Also which Ultima was that, 4 or 5 (or maybe 3 I don't remember how many were ported to SNES)? Only thing you're really missing is Secret of Mana.

Haha, that sounds awesome. I think I vaguely heard about it but I never played it (wasn't big on consoles through the ps1-2/xbox/gamecube era).

I've played many of them, they are all decent games. Metro 2033 is a faily linear FPS game but it has great atmosphere (I think some people behind the STALKER series made it). Company of Heroes is a great RTS game, I'd still play it with my friends if their update system wasn't complete crap though (they switched to torrents, and they have new patches out all the time so every time me and my friends would play it'd be a half hour chore getting all our clients updated). Homeworld 2 is still the GOAT RTS game, though.

Almost half a million pounds… why the hell would he need that much? Especially if it's portable to tablet/smartphone OS...

Exactly. It's an aesthetic/cosmetic bonus for the most part, so it doesn't interfere with game balance.

One option I think is decent is make it so aesthetic bonus items are things you buy instead of items that have gameplay balance restrictions. The people who want that sort of immersion are the people more likely to buy microtransaction features anyway. If they are equipment or other things like that you can have issues with "play2win" items which disrupt game balance.

Why would anyone pass up the chance to have their game called MOO? Seriously how awesome would that be? Crazy Professor Sean's suggestion is decent and classy as well.
