  1. I like the more realistic style to it, but its really nothing new. It's possible with Eclipse, you just need more scripted events to give players experience for doing things besides bashing monsters.

    VBMP

This is old business, no reason to bring it up anymore. Locked.
  3. That's true too. I think there are too many boards in general, this forum is a pain to moderate. I pretty much just respond to reports and lurk where my usual interests are.
  4. Yeah I made a typo, i mean three projects, not three other projects. But that's beside the point, all I was saying is every game idea, even when you have "mock screenshots", aren't working games yet. Besides General chat back at the time was pretty quiet and it was good to throw around game ideas in it (since it's about Eclipse in general).
  5. I believe there is a sadscript function that checks for character sex that doesn't need to target an INI. Most scripts shouldn't target a character's file anyway, they should target a playerextras/char.ini instead. A sadscript pro could probably help you out more, but most if not all data stored in the account/character data files has a sadscript function to get those values. the .dat files are much faster and effecient for the server to use, the only downside is you can't edit them on-the-fly like you could with the .ini files. But also they are more secure than ini files too.
  6. Yeah she can call it a game all she wants, but she (TT Snim) is "working" on three other projects. So I don't consider her work necessarily a game yet. Notice I've worked on my game longer than 90% of the people here, but I don't have a W.I.P. thread. In fact what you seem to suggest would soon make WIP forum more messy than it already is. @HailBlazR: > With good leadership and cooperation combined into one, we could probably do a community project. So how would you vote such a leadership group? Who would you defer to to be the main decision maker or "tie-breaker" vote?
  7. I think her thing is really more a proof-of-concept than an actual "community" game. She even outsourced graphics to someone who wasn't part of this community anyway, the only main thing she does is every game design decision she makes a poll in general chat to gather opinions on. Anyway, to your question, you know why. It's hard to organize conflicting opinions and talents to one thing. Everyone has their own ideas about things, and most of the people in this "community" are or were here to work on their own game ideas, not sit on a commitee to decide things about some half-organized project.

    Olympics

It's a trap! The Chinese dug pits with spikes and tigers and covered them up! :O http://www.theonion.com/content/video/the_beijing_olympics_are_they_a
  9. It was worse when Scribbles used the name Mellowz, because it just worked perfect after Marsh. But yeah they are two different people, Scribbles is nice, responsive, and active. And Marsh, well…. :P :cheesy:

    Chat Feature

"…give me link to discharge the eclipse" Wait what? O.o
  11. @Simius: > search "homicidal monkey" and hit "im feeling lucky" > you get a video little kids beating the crap out of each other Isn't that like half of the non-por.nography internet? :P
  12. But if you touch the wires with your hands/fingers its the same thing anyway. The only thing is the wire can get hot because it's natural resistance, and that is what might burn you, not the current.
  13. @Simius: > and the GMs are so uptight. Try and hack and they bring out the banhammer Psh, you can't hack. The physics engine is too solid. You have to spend tons of in-game money and get government grants and have maxed-out knowledge stats and a full party before you can even try.
  14. With one of those little brick-shaped 9v batteries with both positive and negative point on the same end, just lick your index finger and put it over both of the points. It kind of tingles like when your leg falls asleep or something.
  15. Alan/Spike Personally I thought BoM was alright, it was a complete game concept wise, but the world and maps were not very well designed in my opinion.
  16. @Elder: > Damn, how do you feed them, do they survive by feasting on eachother? Lots of ramen and generic bag cereals.
  17. Bravo Miguu, a nicely done scientific experiment.
  18. @renzo: > also try searching "French Military Victories" and using the "im feeling lucky" button > its an old joke that never gets old XD Oh wow, that had me laughing for awhile. I liked the chronological listings of France's wars. Edit: about WWI: > Thousands of French women find out what it's like to not only sleep with a winner, but one who doesn't call her "Fraulein." Sadly, widespread use of condoms by American forces forestalls any improvement in the French bloodline.
  19. Um, college I think. Or a tornado. I'm not sure but I know he lives in the tornado belt. He's sometimes back and he said he wanted to restart it but I don't know if that's going or not.
  20. Tales of Adriana was pretty close I guess.
  21. Well the site also is hosted on touchofdeathforums.com so I figured it's related. It's also been a nice creative outlet for the community lately.
  22. Well, besides the proof-of-concept project Snim is working on, there is no Eclipse game based on these "emoobz" so it wouldn't be relavant to WIP.
  23. @Warconn: > wtf, look who i got, i dont even no who it is, but it cant be good lol > > ![](http://www.tk421.net/character/quark.jpg) But he's awesome! Better than all the usual commies in Star Trek. :P
  24. Source? Is a portal to 2003 open or something?
