  1. Best way would be via source. Make a check on the BltPlayer sub for the map number and hide other players from view. You'd do the same for players' names and guild names too.
  2. ``` Sub HairGrowth(name) If GetVar("Hair.ini", name, "HairLength") 7 Then Call PutVar("Hair.ini", name, "HairLength", GetVar("Hair.ini", name, "HairLength") + 1) End If Call SetPlayerSprite(index, GetVar("Hair.ini", GetVar("Hair.ini", name, "Style"), GetVar("Hair.ini", name, "HairLength"))) End Sub ``` To call this: ``` Call SetTimer("HairGrowth " & GetPlayerName(index), 86400000) ``` Then, just set up a "Hair.ini" file like so: ``` [1] 1= 2= 3= 4= 5= 6= 7= [2] 1= 2= 3= 4= 5= 6= 7= [3] 1= 2= 3= 4= 5= 6= 7= [Balliztik1] Style=3 HairLength=5 ``` The bracketed values are the styles. The values being set equal to something are the lengths, and you'd set those equal to corresponding sprite number for the sprite with that length of hair. You'd have to initialize the timer somewhere, though. I suggest making a one-time-only check in JoinGame. You'll have to set the styles and length initially, too. I'm not sure how you'll want to do that, but it's as simple as a GetVar. I'm sure someone can demonstrate for you. I've got to go now, and it's not likely that I'll return, so I hope that's clear for you. If someone else could explain or attempt to make something else, that's great, but I just dropped by for a sec.
  3. @[SB: > Bone link=topic=31482.msg287610#msg287610 date=1222018080] > (whos zananok?) :O Blasphemy! Zananok was a scripter a while back, pretty good. Left for a while. Came back as a scripting beast.
  4. Thanks guys. I suppose just a couple things to add: @ Admiral: Thanks a lot. I feel kind of bad saying this after that speech, but I'm not going into combat. >.
  5. *taps mic* Is this thing on? *clears throat* Okay. I haven't really been around much, but I pop in every now and then to check up on things. But things have gotten a bit much here at home. It's my senior year and I've got a ton of work and such. On top of that, I'm joining the army, so I'll be gone to training for a while anyway. I figured I should make it official here instead of just disappearing. I'm leaving Eclipse. I've had a good run here. I made some great friends, some of whom I regularly converse with now. It's started me down the road to programming, something I've always wanted to learn. Eclipse has been great. Unfortunately, I just can't keep up with it anymore. It's not all bad though. You guys aren't alone out there. Zananok's back with a vengeance, so I don't feel like I'm leaving a gap in the scripting section. Like I said, I'm hardly around anymore as it is, but I just figured I'd come back to say one final goodbye. Who knows, maybe I'll wander back someday. Keep up the good work guys. 2.7's a beast, and 2.8's looking even better. You've got a great little program going for you. With that, I bid thee adieu. *bow*
  6. There's respawn point scripts in the database. Give it a search. I know of at least one.
  7. @[SB: > Bone link=topic=30891.msg283439#msg283439 date=1220813005] > i just plowed through everything…. with reverse wheels > > and now im stuck on Tube I hate the Tube one. There's only like 2 designs that work. No variety. >.<
  8. Just open and edit the main.txt in the script folder. I suggest notepad or other no-frills editors, or a programming editor. Just save the file where it's located.
  9. [http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=1368050](http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=1368050) 2 things on your design to make it work: 1\. The block is up too high. The top is missing the target zone. 2\. The back wheel is attached on the outside instead of in the middle. Once the block is lowered a few pixels, it will need the extra power of the last wheel to get through. Once you change that, it looks a bit like this. http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=1381100 I modified it and it finishes successful.
  10. http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=1253282 >.< I finally beat "Handling." Once I got the design down, it must have taken me like 50 adjustments to get it perfect. It was aggravating to be just a pixel or a fraction of a second off on the spin.
  11. @Anna: > Anyone got some tips for Big Ball? I'm stuck at that one. I've been able to crawl over it and pry it away from the goal zone but then it traps my power train and the goal piece is stuck dangling right outside the goal! http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=1148116 This is what I did. Looking over other designs, people either lifted the ball or shot the block for the most part. Also, any frustrating losses out there? http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=1151497 That's a pain right there. ;)
  12. http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=1146950 Simplicity FTW
  13. Well, you'd need a Select case under the original one for the stat point used as well. Assuming that the other sections are like this, and there is an End Select and an End Sub at the end, the syntax is no problem. Like I said, you need to have a check for which point type is being used and restrict from there.
  14. You're putting a lot of spaces in your quotation marks. Those will all fail in the script, since the .ini locations wouldn't have those same spaces in them. I've included a VBScript editor that DemonX posted a while back. There's quite a few errors. This will show you how to clean it up.
  15. No. That'd have to be done in the source code. It's been an idea that has been kicked around a bit, but it hasn't been added as of yet.
  16. Or set them as types and make commands to alter them, like how the custom menus work.

Dunno how much time I can devote, but I'll gladly throw any scripts you need your way. And maybe some music too. Let me see what I can find as far as examples go. I'll edit them on.
  18. Just started last night and I'm loving it (not a McDonald's reference). Look for me in-game if you want. OriginalB's the name.
  19. Just doing my duty. Happened to be here and it was at the top of the "Unread" list.
  20. It's in Tiles10\. Find the questionable bush and tree and such and replace them. The top portion of Tiles10 shouldn't be edited. Those are where all the light effects are.
  21. "What were you doing up so late last night?" "Oh, I had homework, then I decided to make a gooey afterwards."
  22. Something about "making a gooey" doesn't sit right with me… And it's good to hear that you got your script remade. I hate losing work. >.<
  23. @slym: > lol. I will sign a contract saying that i will never join ruinscape…. But i really dont think that i even want to anyway lol. I don't see why not. Runescape is a valuable source of gaming wealth to game makers like us. Their skill system is pretty neat and can give us ideas for our own games. Too many people try to make Runescape, though. Not gonna happen. Take suggestions, don't copy.
  24. @Marsh: > I think the first game i ever played was dragon warrior for the nes. Great game :) Loved that game! Woo! But it wasn't the first I played. I suppose the first real games (besides those children's educational games that my grandparents got me) were the Warcraft series. I played and beat the games at the age of like 4\. xD Born and raised a nerd. :)
