  1. What version are you using? Because that doesn't sound like it's supposed to happen.
  2. How are the tilesets laid out? Could you upload one of them as you have it included with the game? It may simply be an issue with the size of the image.
  3. I've deleted some foreign gibberish from the topic. Please try to refrain from using any other language besides English in the main sections of the forum. If you must, try to use Google Translate, while not perfect it will at least get the point across more so than whichever language you speak.

    Button problem

    > You would have to add the button in Visual Basic 6 then add it to the GUI in the GUI Folder of your game. Partially correct, the buttons in this case are NOT GDI buttons, thus adding them onto the form will not make any difference. You'll need to look into how every other button is handled, sadly. I'm not quite sure how it is done from memory but I believe there's an array of buttons with sizes and locations somewhere.

    > Yeah sky addressed that on his previous post unfortunately I will have to wait until there is a moderator available to move this thread. For future reference, if you ever need a thread moved or see something in the wrong section you're welcome to use the report function at the bottom right of every post. :) It makes our jobs easier, while we do tend to read as much as possible it's not always feasible to expect us to read every single post made at any given time. :) It'd be a never ending job, haha. Anyway, I am not 100% sure on what the rules are regarding custom engine posts. So I'll have to forward this to someone else. But rest assured, it's being worked on and it has been noticed. Now for a more personal remark, why MacOSX but no Linux support?

Assuming you're using EO 4.0 here, seeing as you posted it in that engine's help section - But it should work just fine, are they encoded with a non-standard codec for some reason?

    EO Gold & Silver.

Pretty much anything that can be changed on the server can be done from the client. But I believe that would be correct, yes. A hosting package does not give you direct access to your server control panel as far as I am aware. Hosting it yourself does, however. Which is why I suggested you download Silver and give it a go.

    EO Gold & Silver.

If you just want to check it out and see what it is, and how it works I would suggest you simply download Silver and give it a go. It's free. :) The subscriptions are services where the server is hosted for you rather than having to do it yourself.

    VPS Error

That sounds like the machine needs a reboot. Have you shut it down recently? Eclipse is based on an internal timer which will more or less reset itself (I won't bother explaining the technicalities behind it, long story) after about a week or two.
  10. You'd need to make a copy of the entire process and have it go through a different address and location. I'd suggest you follow through the steps the program takes from the moment it loads. :) It should give you an idea of how it works.

This is very odd, are there perhaps any errors in the error log located in \data files\\logs\ ? ( is Default if you didn't make any changes to it)
  12. I'm afraid I do not understand the problem, setting it to a ridicilous number will not make the images appear. Are there more than 54 paperdolls available?

    VPS

I would not recommend you to though. While Linux itself is a very stable platform WINE is NOT. And we will not offer any support on how to officially get it to work or if it causes issues. It's very tricky and the way it works and can be fixed changes every revision of the library. Unless you really know what you're doing, Linux is not a good option.

Have you tried hitting the stop button in the map editor before closing the properties menu and saving the map?

I know there's a few issues with not closing the client down entirely (this includes the server list), have you shut down the entire thing and have to restart the executable or simply close it to server selection then log back in again?
  16. Hello, The server handles sending over animations as well as equipping items. There should be a sub called SendAnimation (or something of the sorts) you would be able to call after the equip/unequip subs.

    VPS

Hello, For a VPS that is of any use you'll need one with AT LEAST 2GB of RAM available, which is not cheap for a Windows VPS. Why you ask? Well it is very simple, Windows Server itself eats up aprox. 800-1200MB of this on its own. And a basic EO server will eat up to 500MB. Meaning that if you ever intend to grow you'll need some space to do so. Anyhow, I am not aware of any really cheap ones that're actually useful myself I'm afraid.

    How do I fix this?

Hello, There should be a sub in in ModEditors (or something along those lines) that initializes the Quest Editor. Could you post that up here please?

Hello, Could you try running the Runtimes Installer as an Administrator? It may simply be blocked due to permission issues.

    Music

Hello, that is odd and I have not yet managed to encounter this myself. Could you go into detail a little bit more? Might be worth moving this to the Bug Report section afterwards.

    DX8VB.dll problem

Hello, Make sure you run the runtimes installer as an Administrator. While this does not always solve the problem it may help.

    How can I do?

Hello, I've answered a similar question before to you, and I will give a similar answer this time: You can't. If you need to ask you will not be capable of making such drastic changes. There's no tutorials and nobody willing to write such complex tutorials around. If you want to make a basic 3D MMORPG I suggest you either look into RealmCrafter (A little glitchy / basic) or HeroCloud(very advanced, but also complicated) If you do feel like programming it yourself however, I would assume you'd need to sit down and learn how the Direct3D8 Libraries work and rewrite the entire rendering engine. Now then, I'll be locking this topic and moving it to where it belongs. I assume you've made another because I moved it to the right section rather than the 4.0 forums. But please look around a little in the future.
  23. Hello, As far as I am aware this is not on the current roadmap considering it is simply out of reach for the majority of people. While I'm sure there's a few people that can turn this into a profitable game I personally doubt that there are many if any players that are willing to pay a subscription or even for cash-shop items on a game like this. It's a very niche market and it's already saturated meaning you'd need to have something to really draw people in, and creating such a thing is likely going to take you longer than the lifespan of this engine will cover. However, I can assure you that it is an idea for future thoughts. Not nessecarily for 4.0 however.
  24. The first uses a completely different type of rendering altogether. I don't think you'll get that to work unless you change the engine entirely. As for Mode 7, it should be doable. But I am not familiar with how the effect is achieved. So you may want to google around on this a little.
  25. > It left because of a poor decision made by the new administration. They should've prepared and thought it over more before revealing it. Marsh had asked everyone to keep it quiet until it happened. So blaming it on the current owner is simply rude.
