  1. I am working on a game project, but need an amazing engine. I looked to Eclipse Advanced, but Deathbeam has stopped work on it now. I can discuss price and time over PM or Skype, but I need someone to make this engine (and fix bugs) for me. This is a paid item and does not involve being tied down to a team, just one off work. Please let me know if you are interested. Thanks, –Matt
  2. The items they send in could be used in a game, and will be personalised to the templates Rob supplied. Therefore there would be little point in using them for your own project, as they are custom-sized to fit the example above. Plus the money prize is pretty big for a couple of images. –Matt
  3. Loved the tutorials. Currently trying to get them working in EA 21 (in the Dev Suite with the new menu - moveable admin panel and set sprite are already there as standard!) Thanks Ertzel, –Matt
  4. I can look into this, but I can't make any promises… --Matt
  5. From all of the community: Thanks for all of your work on EM so far, and good luck with your projects to come.
  6. Ah well, at least this is a pretty darn decent engine. Anyone could use this as a base for a great game. Thanks again Deathbeam, and I wish you good luck in all of your projects in the future, especially Prospekt Online. Thanks, –Matt
  7. There won't be many more updates to EA with loads of new features? Awwww….
  8. > Shared profits? How much do you expect to make lol. Your game and website will eat up your profits (if any). You would need atleast 100 players since only a small percentage of ppl pay in games which use the f2p business model. At that point your game would have to be excellent, capable of holding 100+ players 24/7 and have no costs on site/game server.. > > Its already not realistic but to push it even further: you should learn about copyrights. > > .mp3 files require a license so you should use .ogg. using graphics and images like spell icons, sprites without proper copyrights is also illegal. > > The project is great but you should rly remove the [semi-paid] tag and the part about profit. Good luck! I have permission to use all resources used in my game, so copyright is not an issue. Also, I am getting a very good deal on all assets, including the website, and a small premium fee will be charged. It may not be much, but it will be split between all helpers. Even if it just pays for a cola or coffee, its better than nothing. > I lol'd a little when Deathbeam was mentioned as being a standard for programming knowledge. Otherwise, Greendude said everything else in a decently informative fashion. It's good that you have goals and expectations, but you need to be realistic considering that you're writing a game based on an engine that thousands of people have used; out of those thousands, how many games do you see that actually bring in revenue outside of donations? I'll tell you: none. I admire both Ertzel and Deathbeam's coding, and wish I could code like that. I don't expect to make much, but even donations bring in something. I plan to charge a small fee for access to premium areas, with lots of the game being free to play. Even if this doesn't make much, it is still better than nothing. Thanks, –Matt
  9. Hi! I am currently working on a game called Dimensional Rift, where the nice peaceful world has been ripped apart by an evil power to create rifts between times and places, such as the medieval realm (where you live) being able to just walk into a modern day city. This project is Semi-Paid because during development you will not receive anything (as I am a 15 year old student), but when it is finally released you will be entitled to an equal share, corresponding to the amount of work you have done, of all profits made. While anyone is welcome at this stage, I am mainly in need of the following people: **Map-Makers** - People who can use the map editor to create beautiful maps. **Developers** - People very good with VB6 (like Ertzel or Deathbeam standard) to customize the version) **Website Admins** - People who can write good articles and flesh out my site. **Designers** - People with the ability to create very nice artwork, such as modern or futuristic characters and tilesets. Anyone on the team will get developer access to my game and website, their own [email protected], a cut of all profits, access to the source (which will never be released publicly), credit and control over the game. Please respond to this post or PM me for more details and if your are interested. Thanks, –Matt

    GUI Button

Brilliant image, perfect to fill the slot. Thanks jaekx!
  11. Does anyone know how to setup EO (or any version since) on a Windows 2008 server?
  12. Shame, the event system seems improved.
  13. Also, any chance of getting this ported to EA 3.0.11? I love the new event system.
  14. Wow Ertzel you got promoted? Cool. You totally deserve it for all the work you do for this forum. Oh and BTW pastornater thanks for the housing system idea, sounds great. Can't wait till Ertzel implements it!
  15. I still prefer Ertzel's version. No offence Jaxx, but ES is just going too far off of an official version. Also, EM has a version 1.0 already.

    [EA] MiniMap

Can someone give me a list of what colour means what please?
  17. Nice minimap Ertzel, but is there any chance of getting it in any colour but pink?
  18. It shouldn't update the engine to your latest version, but if the admins change client server settings, they will want to be able to update the clients.
  19. Nice feature. Would it be possible to make an autoupdater bundled with this project, something like [http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/index.php?/topic/128899-download-tutorial-joyces-fixed-updater/](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/index.php?/topic/128899-download-tutorial-joyces-fixed-updater/) but with a news file like Deathbeams Prospekt Online (rather than a news.html file)? Good work so far!
  20. All I did was log on to a localhost EM, change a tile, click send then got the error code above. If you think you've fixed the issue, that'd be great.
  21. BTW neither of your links work.
