The forums has basically become dead for quite a while. it's gone beyond that saving point really. A 3D rpg engine is a horrible idea as there are already engines out there you can use(Unity, Frostbite, CryEngine, etc.) that provide a huge plus to 3D developers rather than making their own. a game is a game. the graphics generally have no effect on gameplay. The good programmers are getting banned half the time mostly due to knowing that the engine(s) being produced on here are failing and hardly being developed(albeit jc has in fact said why EclipseV hasn't been worked on but the delay of such message is too much since he has been online countless times and he never made a post regarding said problem.) The site was good, but the entire thing of the closed source kind of blew everyone up and they eventually left because of it. the pricing is a bit(understatement) of a rip off. $20 would have been a much more suitable price. the whole thing of "Gold benefits" is also a bit of a turnoff as you're screwed either way, from what i recall, the limits they put on silver, is slightly lifted on gold, meaning you still have hardly enough headroom for anything really. This is just me ranting a little but this is how i see it, They tried something, it failed, and they paid an enormous toll for it(member loss). Sincerely, Growlith1223

Set your DPI to 100%. google is your friend on how to do that.

If i remember correctly, the way item despawning works in EO 3, is that all items are on one timer, meaning every item on the ground would despawn once it's time, i could be entirely wrong about this and they all would be on their own seperate timers. either way, try and look around at the item despawning on the server's logic loop, that would be the best bet.

yes, if you have the VB6 IDE, look in either CheckMovement or CanMove

EO 3 isn't that buggy, it's more or less just laggy due to the event system and how it was produced. there's quite a bit of tutorials on fixing a lot of said lag though so look around

honestly, for the hippie game, i'd keep the difficulty, makes the game more challenging which allows for people to try and get better. kind of gives you that sense of accomplishment even more lol. idk im just tired of games being way too easy anymore, they buff the player all to hell enough you're guaranteed to win almost everytime half the time a game is made, it sucks lol. can't wait to see where this group will go though!

awesome, im not much of a graphic artist(more of a programmer than anything) but it looks good imo

looks pretty good for 8-bit, some of the "Desert" tiles look a bit too "combined", it makes it kind of see where the edges are on the inside of it(kind of hard to describe, i have some bad vision, so try squinting at the desert tiles and you'll see what i see lol) it's probably just me nitpicking but yea, other than that, it's pretty good

im sure you'll find copies of visual basic 6.0 on Amazon or ebay. but it's really not worth it

I have returned….technically... anywho, Your best bet would be to try any engine really. try the ones you find intriguing then choose one from the assortment of engines you have picked. then go from there, every engine is different so there's really no telling what to pick. choose what's best for you and go from there. This is my final post before i leave. I was banned for wanting to express my opinion, there was by no means any insult in what i said either, you know it's true that the site has become dead yet you still deny it and say "we have been getting so many registers a day" but do you still see said registered people here? you're losing 5 out of 6 people that join. JC and Amish, don't try and bend the truth and say i was "spamming" when you know damn well what it was about. There's an example that i know of that you guys are playing favorites with. There was a recent topic that was posted. it was the mobile EO topic, yes i'm bringing this up. of course it's harmful posts were taken down but they were taken down for different reasons. the post said something along the lines of "you all should just go slit your wrists!"…nothing was done with it for hours, my posts however, nope it was like the apocalypse struck with every post i done. Yes the site has become dead and you're hardly gaining anyone because they keep leaving. just to recap, i was banned for saying "i lol'd so hard i fell off my chair. good joke though! :D" is there ANY insult or ANY harm in what i said? i see none, i am just stating what's going on with the site, just a little sugar coating. 1\. Run VB6 as admin as this allows it to access the registry for said dlls. 2\. Are you running VB6 portable? if so, that's your reason.
