It does not matter what language you learn pick anything (not python). Once you know the basics of it any language is pretty easy to pick up. C# is a good place to start. C++ will probably make any other language easy to learn. But it may be a bit tougher at first. I did not get far into the programming books. They were very boring and try. Though do provide some good basic learning. As General said I would try Unity and C#. You will have more fun making a small game and exploring the code in small sectioned snippets. C# is pretty big these days as well and similar to c++. Going from c++ to c# is a breeze. Going from c# to c++ can have you running into a lot of problems. Mainly pointers.

Then just load the right character into the slot that already exists. Game will continue as normal.

I started with Playerworlds, had some pretty awesome mappers working for me. It was pretty amazing what some people could do with 3 layers.

Dont think I am ready for characters yet. Will stick to letters until I get better.   My friends: Better as always :P 

Did another test with Ubisoft this morning. I think it went pretty well. Waiting on the results.

The first computer I used was a windows 3.1 my dad had. I remember images would load pixel by pixel down the screen. Or it would load completed pixelated and slowly unpixel. Not to mention when your on dailup you end up masterbating to a lot of half loaded images because your tired of waiting. Damn im old.

Programming

So if anyone is wondering. I was initially declined stating that I did ok on the exam but someone else did better. I was then offered a job at EA I will most likely be taking. Ubisoft has now phoned back for another interview about a Generalist Programmer position. I also am talking to a recruiter for Disney and Fidel. So hopefully I will get a job somewhere in this mess! I am not sure if I agree about the activity declining but I am not active enough to judge that. But it is refreshing to see a post like this that tries to help the situation rather then just complain about it. So kudoos.

So first one went decently well, second was a bit intense. Had like 100 multiple choice questions some code to write and more in 40 minutes. Hopefully they will call me back. Thanks for all the well wishes.

So its apparently 2 tests. 1 on general programming 1 hour long. 1 on c# and tools creation 40 mins long. :O getting a bit nervous. Hopefully it goes well! Thanks for all the support guys.

I applied for a few jobs at Ubisoft last week and today I got a phone call from them today!!! Going to do the programming tests tomorrow! Hopefully it will get me a interview! Wish me luck!!! stoked.
