Reminds me of Secret of Solstice. If you improve your 3d rendering skills I would play it. 2d sprites with 3d environment is quite nice.

I'm not sure if the outline is black or there is no outline on the blades. Make the light source more consistent. Light source from the blades indicates the light source is on the top left but the handle shows a different lighting. Shape of the blades seem a big jagged.

You have a good outline of where things are. Now take everyones suggestion and add some life into that menu. Grey is a very dull color.

Cliffs remind me of Super Mario 2 cliffs and the edges of the grass remind me of Breeze tiles ^^ Anywho yes the trees are off, try thinking of the tree with a couple of smaller circles rather than one big one (or oval shapes whatever you feel you like better). The sand seems rather dull at the moment. I think if you made the sand look a bit like the cliffs it would fit very well. The water seems to fit in with the style the cliffs portray. The logs look like they have hearts on them

I like the placement of the HP and MP bars. It seems like a really convenient place to put them. Actually I like the placement of where everything is at except maybe the buttons. They are okay where they're at but I prefer them on the side, its just a matter of preference though. Not too bad.

Count me in! I used to write lyrics in my spare time I think I can give some good competition.

It looks too much like green slime oozing down to me. I would suggest sharper edges for the tree line art.

I disagree with with some people have said I recommend getting something that is not girly like you originally planned. I don't know if jaguar is a girls car I always see it as an old guys car. Good thing there are so many online resources to help you decide.

Do you use photoshop or paint to save your gui? Cause you really can't tell the difference unless you really pay attention when you save it on photoshop as a level quality of 12
