  1. You be the judge. First of all, let me refer to a few figures. Fig. 1\. ![](http://images.encyclopediadramatica.com/images/1/19/Carefactory.jpg) Fig. 2.[![](http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/6555/800pxepicthread07.jpg)](http://img3.imageshack.us/i/800pxepicthread07.jpg/) Fig. 3.![](http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/4663/yourdoingitwrong.png) NOTE: This is a joke, I'm not serious in any way shape or form, I noticed a convenient status and went for it. I'm merely doing this for the lulz. lulz: Often used to denote laughter at someone who is the victim of a prank, or a reason for performing an action. Can be used as a noun — e.g. "do it for the lulz." This variation is often used on 4chan image boards. According to a New York Times article about Internet trolling, "lulz means the joy of disrupting another's emotional equilibrium."[25] - [Wikipedia](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lulz#Variations_on_the_theme) (Would've used ED's defenition with a link, but we can't have the kiddies on here linked to something with Pictures of Chilidog.) ![](http://images.encyclopediadramatica.com/images/7/79/Theyseemetrollin.png) EDIT: I noticed there were a few f bombs in the picture, don't want to cause any trouble.
  2. @Zyvo: > One of two things would happen: > > 1) percentage of this happening= 98%: They wouldn't listen to you and kill you then kill each other. > > 2) percentage of this happening= 2%: They would play but ninjas would cut the ball in two and when the pirates don't get their way they'll just shoot the ninjas and then they'll all be killing each other. > > Either way your going to have a lot of hurt, injured and dead people. Yes, but it would be full of win! XD
  3. @мсичġġєт: > it's a great idea but some eclipsers get hungry for updates. > *cough cough* double *cough* :)
  4. I had to quote both, because they are actually both valid. @мсичġġєт: > Javascript is used for websites you might know. > I think Zyvo is learning java is because he wants to help with the SE problens and stuff. > I don't know. Correct, javascript is a scripting language for web development. That might be a likely cause, but one must assume if he's trying to attempt web design, he's intending it for a different use, I'll explain here in a second.@Jna: > Java is used to make programs, not websites as far as I know. This is also correct, java is used to make programs and applications, it is a programming language, but where most are mislead is java applications can be implemented into web sites (such as what they're doing with eclipse.), and can be used for a WIDE range of things. Java applications can send server-sided requests, and communicate indirectly with scripting languages used for building websites as far as its applications for the internet go.
  5. @Robin: > I'm not flaming you, I just don't like it when people try and make out they're better than they actually are. I agree with your previous notions, I started working with html at 11 years old, thought I was a big shot, and probably did something close to what he just did. Anyways I eventually moved to css for mark-ups(it was around the time the "web2.0" was just hitting off.), and some php. present day I work with very little html, primarily it's css, php, javascript, flash, ect. Taking note those are in a collaboration effort to produce both a client-side and server-side website. I use LAMP servers to handle all the server side requests on a local machine running BSD. The point I'm making is, I know my fair share of web design and development, far beyond simple html websites, and I wouldn't consider myself a professional. Not by any means. Spend years learning several languages to produce truly professional websites, and we'll talk about charging. You might get a kid or two to go for it, but anyone looking sensible, with little or no code knowledge, looking to pay for a website, would most likely go for a pre-made solution such as a template, [hell, you can even get some nice ones for free.](http://templates.arcsin.se/demo/grunge-superstar-website-template/)
  6. @Pete: > Bump > (Not sure if I used ALL the colours shone in the top right) > Version two: Personally, I like it, I do however suggest, if you are looking for a more anime style eye take a look [here,](http://freewebs.com/thugzanime/anime%20eye.JPG) that displays a few different versions of the eye-glare or highlight effect. You may try playing around with the initial shape of the glare.
  7. First of all, this is a smexy thread, thank you. I could use a pirate sprite if it's not too much trouble. :D

    Sprite WIP

@Hippoman: > Make it a blob with eyes and call it a slime. Now that's using your head. ;)
  9. @Tyr: > please give us 1 good reason why you would want to store it all in a .ini file? Seriously.
  10. @Kreator: > Zoso, ICT, Green…something.. are all good spriters. I was referring to this thread, but thanks for the recommendations :cheesy:. I've seen some of ICT's stuff though, I was looking over some of it last night. He's got some nice work.

    Need help

He needs your internal IP to type into the IP config. section of the client. Running a server/client on your computer while doing the same on his, will not connect the both of you in any way shape or form. It's been said a few times now. Clients connect to the IP you specify in the IP config menu. Get your IP and give it to him, or get his IP and enter in your client's menu. If that doesn't work, like they said, It's a port forwarding issue, meaning the IP your trying to connect to isn't accepting connections through the specific port basically.
  12. This looks like a really nice project, I'm looking forward to it. I'll be sure to stop by here often to check on your progress. I have a feeling these features may be added to the default Eclipse eventually, especially with something like this.
  13. @X: > Your ASCII art gave me TWO fingers! :O It happens, unfortunately.
  14. t(o.Ot) - You getting pwnt.
  15. @Kreator: > No don't use Paint.NET. All the pros use paint. This is true, but who's pro around here besides you? XD
  16. @Kreator: > Links to what? > > These are axes thus there is no curvatures in the blades. I showed off some swords, forget whether I included scimitar, cutlass, etc Some of your other work, I've seen one or two sets, but I'd like to check out some more, you're pretty good. Ohh there's no curvatures in the blade because you made it that way ;). I was talking somewhat along these lines, http://www.thesworddepot.net/images/KR0022.jpg , more battle-axe style. I just haven't seen it done yet, so I thought I might mention it. I believe I've seen your sword set as well, it was nicely done from what I recall.
  17. @Marsh: > this not only applies to the shoutbox this applies to real life. To bad its 1 am now. Well someone should've let me in on this whole ordeal, I support some forms of piracy :azn:. Lol, the ^.^ face command is : azn :, that's great, I've never used that one. Am I going to be receiving the demi-god hammer? :lipsrsealed:
  18. Get the better version of MS paint, it works well for pixel art. Spechno already posted a link to it, getpaint.net. Like he also mentioned trees need some work, the platforms aren't spectacular, but that's not to say they're bad either. IMO, the platforms could use some shading, at least the top where your elements for the level (grass, snow, ect.) are.
  19. @Kreator: > Being fantasy medieval sprites, I have expressed some interesting blade shapes and such in my work. > > And the noob crusher has always been a damn good pixel artist. What rock have you been livin' under? Well fair enough, links? :cheesy: I like them a lot though. Have you considered any curvatures in the blade, be it you are looking for a different style of weapon? Again, fair *bows*. I've been living under a rock that is well kept by several maids, thank you.
  20. @zonova: > someone answer my question :P. i like the second oen alot. the water doesnt really look like water, more like a bumpy meteor. Or an enlarged blue golf ball perhaps? I think they're all very well done, It's just the canvas messed with the water texture :P.
  21. @əˈnɪgmÉ™xâ„¢: > Arrr, have you all forgot talk like a pirate day… > it be a sad day indeed if one has.. so get t' it > and talk like a pirate. Aye, me parrot concurs. Arr matey… this doesn't apply to the shoutbox.. arr.. XD
  22. @Bone: > Pretty cool, I too, like the first one, but also the last one. > The second ones blades have a funny look about them, maybe they're too small, or misaligned (Although I doubt they're misaligned). I agree, I believe they are all very well done, and I also like the shading* effects applied to them. I didn't know the noob crusher had them pixel skills in him ;). The only thing I'm hung up on is the second one, It's not that It's bad or anything, the blades just look slightly off. Unless your intent was to make it more of a double headed hatchet, in which case I don't believe the bottom edges of the blades should come down far at all, and well done. Other then that man, better then the majority of which I see, I'll tell you that.
  23. @Anna: > No, water can really kill you even though it is also required. I'm just saying I don't like these uneducated arguments that "all drugs are bad" – EVERYTHING has negative effects to the human body, just living is in itself dangerous. Sure most recreational drugs are bad but it doesn't mean there are no positive aspects about them, and just saying that all drugs are harmful even though they have medicinal applications is short-sighted and biased. I would suggest a natural solution, such as herb perhaps, apposed to any intoxicant handed out by a doctor, or one made by human beings for that matter. If anyone has forgotten, the government calls those pills you take "drugs" for a reason. In fact the government has even taken illegal drugs, and used them for their own legal drugs. Take a look at what's inside your heavy-heavy duty pain killers.
  24. @♥♠DDunit: > Stunned. I am too and I've seen literally like 5 of that guys post's.
  25. I like the idea of Eclipse for the win, it's visually appealing.
