JohnPony
**_Introduction_**Have you ever lost a text file located deep within you're computer, and you only remember a few small words that it contained?Well you're in luck, I'm currently developing a simple yet useful bit of software to scan you're computer's files for pretty much everything!Of course, at the moment the program is in a bare bone state. I maybe worked on it around 30 minutes total on and off since last night. So its functionality is limited. As you would guess at the moment you are able to search for all the files in a specified directory, search for a certain extension, and even search for specified text in every file in that particular drive!I expect to update the program on a daily basis to add new functionality to it, i even plan on allow you to play Mp3 & other media files straight from the program. In the further future i will allow you to share files with friends and even backup files on a specialized server i am currently building!Let me note that these are just ideas, and the program is still in a very early stage within development. I hope to have a nice stable version out within a month. But you can download a small preview of the program below, and even view some screenshots below that.>! **_Download:_** http://www.deviconcreations.com/download.php>! ![](http://www.freemmorpgmaker.com/files/imagehost/pics/70722fa4eb26f994253738e2fefb6da1.png)>! ![](http://www.freemmorpgmaker.com/files/imagehost/pics/05fb0f6b654314eb63b574c6b8981da7.png)>! ![](http://www.freemmorpgmaker.com/files/imagehost/pics/18e27a94eab84686a1293a85b672ff24.png)>! ![](http://www.freemmorpgmaker.com/files/imagehost/pics/c023c7953ef15b68380db4b463bab533.png)>! ![](http://www.freemmorpgmaker.com/files/imagehost/pics/1ba49566f51a7fed8e2f6998219c1a3f.png)Thank You For You're Time,General Pony. JohnPony
I find it useful myself when i can't find a 'special' file no one else is supposed to find ;D
Jeff
@General:> I find it useful myself when i can't find a 'special' file no one else is supposed to find ;DThe superior method of storing porn is making it named a blank char setting the icon to transparent, archiving everything in a .rar and then removing the extension. Invisible and unaccesible to the average Joe.

Likestodraw
Very neat. Windows has this function (search) already, but it sucks. I'll have to use this some time.

I'll have to use this some time. This isn't much better, if better at all. But i will be adding a few neat features that you don't have in the typical windows search. It was just a 30 minute project to kind of teach myself to use multiple threads. Likestodraw
Yeah, it is. Windows search doesn't even have extensions. It's practically useless without those.
JohnPony
I'm going to extend this to convert files from one extension to another, lets say you have all the player files stored as .ini, it will read them and convert them into .dat files.
