Agoraphobic Posted August 5, 2012 Author Share Posted August 5, 2012 I'm currently working on the light system for my project and I'm in need of two different source codes to get this to work. I'm currently working in Eclipse Event System 3.0.The concept I'm going for is when you enter an area with darkness the transparent .png overlays the screen covering it in darkness, except for a small circle of light that surrounds your character as you move. After that I can use the Tint Screen Event to simulate the rest of the light system.I really need for me to be able to toggle it on or off in a map at will.Second I need it whenever you use a Torch it removes it from inventory and resets the Variable in the Event System to change the Tint Screen Event. Not against having the Tinting done by all Source if it's easier.Example.>! zerohero Posted August 5, 2012 Share Posted August 5, 2012 Why not just use the engines current tinting feature and read the amount of tint there is on a map by map basis, if the tint (darkness) amount is greater than a pre-determined threshold then tell the lighting to kick it?
