Really?!?! <.<

i dont think theyre too weird.. look at zelda lttp trees..the trunks look weird, but in a fun way .. anyway i still think the height of the leaves has a lot to do with it.. and the trunk might use a little less shading in certain parts or just lighter shading, its a bit hard to tell

**Update:**
So i deleted the weeds couse they were ugly, added some pop-up grass, edited the shading on the tree logs and made so little grass pop-up over them, added some flowers and rocks. Also it will be good if someone helps me by making a new tree couse i'm really bad at trees.

Cliffs remind me of Super Mario 2 cliffs and the edges of the grass remind me of Breeze tiles ^^ Anywho yes the trees are off, try thinking of the tree with a couple of smaller circles rather than one big one (or oval shapes whatever you feel you like better). The sand seems rather dull at the moment. I think if you made the sand look a bit like the cliffs it would fit very well. The water seems to fit in with the style the cliffs portray. The logs look like they have hearts on them <3 I don't know if that was intentional or not. The shading on the fallen logs also looks unnatural.

I've ALWAYS had trouble with trees myself, they're hard. If you don't nail the perspective they look retarded and if the trunk doesn't flow well with the grass or foliage it goes to shit and if you flop with shading and lighting the foliage will just blend with the grass or look like a giant pillow shaded cotton ball.

I'll post my, probably, most satisfactory tree that I made a couple of years ago. Feel free to examine it and try to understand what I did, just don't blatantly rip it off lol. (trick is to find the techniques you can reproduce without having to copy it) I also recommend doing this with a better Pixel artists work, places like Pixeljoint or Pixelation are boiling over with talented people to study.

Just a thing to note, I purposely pixel'd this in 2x2 pixels because I'm a nerd and enjoy that pixelated SNES look. If I reproduced this with single pixels it'd be half the size (2 16x16 instead of 32x32) eitherway, I hope you can learn something from it.

The mockup it belonged to,

This is probably in no way a fantastic tree, but I'm sure there's _something_ to learn from it, lol.

The new tiles look really good. Quick tip about the rock; it has a black outline, but nothing else does. If you give it a dark-gold outline (just pick a color darker than its darkest color) it will look a lot better. I did so here:
