  1. > You're forgetting that the main game has 20+ free to play worlds, where 07scape **requires** membership. Honestly, even I completely don't play runescape once my membership runs out. I wait until I'm a member again and then I'm back into 07\. If 07 had free worlds, I would definitely play more often, so what's to say that others wouldn't. :s If we were to ignore F2P for a moment, then in order for your initial statement about 07scape vs RS3 to be true, **half** of the players online at any given point need to be F2P (or 2/3 of those on live game). Thing is, that's not even remotely close to reality. About 10-15% of online players are F2P. Therefore, you're still very very off. RS3 activity greatly triumphs over 2007scape regardless. Secondly, 07scape doesn'tb really need to be F2P. It's an ancient snapshot meant to satisfy a special interest group. Making it F2P would just worsen the already bad 07scape bot infestation and suck company resources out of the live game. Not to mention worsen the chasm in the community caused by 07scape. Sorry to come off as aggressive, but I don't care how big your ego is; the game isn't dead just because you don't like it anymore. This "runescape is dead" crap perpetuated by the misinformed, the overly nostalgic, and the inflexible is getting old.
  2. > Tbh, the worlds have more people than the main game. Of course there are less, but each worlds has 100+ in them and most are usually 250+ the main games worlds are only ever at 150+ and 200+ during updates :S I think runescape in general is dead, not just this section. That is absolutely incorrect. 2007scape has substantially less players and has continued to decline. [http://www.misplaced…/2007online.php](http://www.misplaceditems.com/2007online.php)
  3. Nostalgia doesn't last forever. :(
  4. Not bad. Here are a few of my tips: -The tileset could really benefit from some darker colors included in the mix. Especially since you already have a dark grass and people outline, dark dirt details, dark windows, and dark cave. Consistency matters! -I suggest adding some highlights and shadows. It could really make things pop without needing to change your palette. Remember: If the lightsource is coming from above, then things perpendicular to the ground get less light than things parallel to the ground. So a cliffside would be darker than dirt! -Avoid mirroring to cheat on details. i.e. the tree foliage -In a natural world, the grass would reach the edge of the cliffside, not stop a tile before the edge. -Your cliffside would probably look more natural if - instead of dividing the rocky wall into 4 rows/layers - you randomized it a bit. When making cliff walls I usually place rocks at random and "fill in" the empty spaces. Right now the cliff looks too grid-like imo. -Caves don't instantly turn pitch black when they begin. :P A little light creeps in and they fade to black. Either way the transition should be a little less harsh.

    Old Eclipse

Ahh… back when mistyping the url took you to a celebrity pronz site.
  6. > Please refrain from insulting people when you have no idea what you're talking about. If you took the time to actually look and compare, they aren't anything like the RPGM tiles on a pixel base. In fact he may have used a similar palette but if he didn't these wouldn't look anything like RPGM. Sherwin has a unique art style that he's shared with us several times already and that this looks nothing like it. People typically don't drastically morph technique like that unless something fishy is going on. But, for the sake of proving that _you have no idea what you're talking about_… let's ignore that first red flag. 20 minutes of using RPG Maker on default: >! ![](http://i.imgur.com/u2zw3WM.png) ![](http://eatenbrain.com/filehost/files/bd1880484ff07565b32a49c197a41b89.PNG) There's nothing wrong with wanting to shrink and customize the RPG Maker tileset a bit. However, ripping someone else's work, claiming it as 100% your own, and expecting a pat on the back for it doesn't sit right with me. It shouldn't sit right with you either. > Once again, another stupid insult on Eclipse. I'm noticing a pattern with you. Oh? Would you mind going into detail with this claim before you come off as a hypocrite?
  7. You've halved the size of RPGMaker tiles - big whoop. To say they're inspired is misleading when they're nothing more than rehashed copies. Considering they aren't even altered enough to save you from copyright infringement, I don't know what the point of this was.

    Religon

We've had this argument on Eclipse numerous times. Do we really need yet _another_ topic on the same thing? It's not fair of you to stereotype all Christians based on some bad experiences.
  9. In case anyone wants to see a comparison of the XBO and PS4: [http://i.imgur.com/MLPe57O.png](http://i.imgur.com/MLPe57O.png)
  10. > “lolwut?” > The teacher said what is 2+2 and Nook raised his hand and said France. A plateform like Microsoft would bring in more money per a user then Sony. So Sony shouldn’t have any issue and will adapt something similar (to steam) eventually? K…… Stick to thinking with your feelings. Mocking people ain't one of your strong points. Microsoft's alternative platform would give Microsoft more money per user. Not necessarily because it's more expensive for the users, but because the money flow is redirected. Companies like money. So why wouldn't Sony, also a company, do something similar to Microsoft's platform? Because consumer happiness is important here. Trying to get more money per customer is futile if the decision causes you to lose customers. By sticking to the "normal" ways, Sony has won the favor of many gamers. If people like your product, more people will buy it. More buyers means mo' money. Would you rather get $4 from 10 people or $3 from 15 people? Of course, the irony is that both companies initially lose money from their consoles. It is a big gamble with the hope that the losses suffered will eventually pay off. > What are you doing man!? Buying used Produce from a grocery store? We’re talking about used products! Stay on track. Your comparison of 300% for produce is not only off topic but also (and again) highly exaggerated . > > /facepalm > > They provide **different services**. They charge **different prices** because of this, **despite some overlap** on merchandise. Doesn't take critical thinking to figure out what I meant. > > Your pawn shop argument is terribly flawed because pawn shops are primarily a lending service.**This is why they give so little money.**You give them an item for collateral, they give you a little quick cash for it, and it becomes your job to pay them back plus interest. If you pay them back on time you get your item back. > > > > Please show me where I said I look forward to it. Or did you make an assumption? > > There is nothing wrong with using insecurities to tell if someone is telling the truth about a product. We do it every day and not with just insecurities and not just products. > > "body language means allot to me… Where if I ask them what they like...and they insecurely defend it..." > "Where [on Eclipse] [so and so] would just spout out facts … especially interesting when you think of the people on these debate boards" > "Things like insecurity and avoidance or so much easier to see IRL. And I personally abuse this....." > -you > > Semantics. Subsitute _look forward to_ with _enjoy. Y_ou yourself admitted to it with negative connotation. If it helps you sleep to picture people on the debate boards as insecure nerds with their petty facts that you could win against IRL, so be it. You're the one who made yourself look like a tool, not me. > > You're right when you say we all read body language. We don't, however, all use a person's confidence as the determinate for truth. Facts are facts regardless of how a person feels about them or himself. We also don't all exploit others for being insecure. That's just crappy personality. > > > > Oh? The whole …. Your opinion versus mine where you stop using facts or examples and just go to indirectly insulting. Isn’t it just as easy to say the exact same thing to you? > > > > You can believe I’m used to a narrow perspective or comfortably ignorant . But that might just mean you are used to a narrow perspective or comfortably ignorant. > > > > It is not narrow minded to seek wholesome video game news from multiple sources. > > > > It is not ignorant to be aware of how narrow Gamestop's news is and how much more information exists out there. > > > > I'm sure I'm narrow minded and ignorant about a lot of stuff, but this isn't one of them. How about a legitimate response instead of fishing for ways to turn it around on me? > > > > > > > Awww… You poor thing… I had no real problems with them. Sorry you did…. A lot of people with bad personalities have problems with them. > > > > Resorting to mockery after you're wrong? Classy. Just accept defeat and get on with it like an adult. > > > > > > > > > I never said people don’t have a legitimate reason. Don't be so retarded as to act like you have been to every gamestop or even mine. Where mine offers great customer service, which sucks for you. > > > Let me make something clear. I'm not arguing against video game stores. I'm arguing against the stick of a company that is Gamestop. If the dude behind the counter at your Gamestop is a bro, great. That doesn't change the fact that the company as a whole practices bad business. So many people fall victim to ripoffs, failed promises, and shitty service because at Gamestop, the customer doesn't have to come first. > > > > > > A lot of us consider that unacceptable. If you're fine with it, then wonderful. Doesn't make it any less of a craphole. The haters will shop elsewhere. > > > > > > If you want to continue this conversation, please PM me rational responses explaining how I'm wrong. We're pretty off topic here.
  11. You can't get away with duplicating the back and front animation. Our arms don't swing parallel to our body. Our shoulders favor the front of our bodies. Therefore, both views are different. Move the shoulders up on the back view and give the arms a more natural swing towards the inside of his chest/abdomen. Don't let him swing his arms that far behind him. As of now you can actually see his hands overlap his back and that just looks weird.
  12. > Actually the other reason not would be money. Nah. From what I understand, a platform like Microsoft's would bring in more money per user than Sony's. Hence why I said all that really matters is consumer happiness. > I love how everyone complains about the money you get back for a used game. You know….. I'm no fan of going to a pawn shop and getting 10% on a toy I paid allot of money for. Are we going to start blaming the pawn shops for ruining the toy company? My other options would be selling it on line. I don't have to explain the many reasons people don't like on line shopping and selling. Or where ever! The point,is I don't have to choose to give the pawn shop my money. Same applies with Gamestop people. Your comparison of Gamestop and Pawn Shops is severely flawed. That's like saying it's okay for a grocery store to charge 300% for their produce because gas stations charge that much. > Actually I bought a new game from Walmart, it was broke when I opened. Wal-mart wouldn't take it back or replace it. I was talking to a Gamestop employee about it and the conversation ended in him taking the broken game that I spent 15 dollars on and giving me 6$ dollars for it. I did not complain. By broken do you mean scratched? Those are easily repaired. Gamestop buys scratched discs because they have a machine that cleans off the top layer, creating a working disc. They would have bought it with the intent to turn it around for profit. They do not operate out of kindness. I paid the local DVD store $4 to repair my broken Left 4 Dead 2 disc. Had I taken it to Gamestop, I would have gotten less than $10 for it and had to pay $40 to buy another used copy. Gamestop is shady. > It's not just a little information you get from there….. On top of the butt loads of money they spend on advertising there are other gamers inside too. Where I get to meet the person who calls himself Darkfireangelgodx (lol watch some loser take that as a username) or nook face to face.Something about body language means allot to me.... Where if I ask them what they like about a game or console and they insecurely defend it. You can tell. Where here Darkfiregodangelgodx would just spout out facts and all the positive things everyones says. Face time..... especially interesting when you think of the people on these debate boards.... Things like insecurity and avoidance or so much easier to see IRL. And I personally abuse this..... I talk to all the random people I meet in there from the college kids that are on break to the insecure little nerds living a single life iN their mothers basement. There's absolutely nothing wrong with enjoying the social aspect of it. That can be considered a bonus. I find it odd that exploiting people's insecurity is something you look forward to so much. > Sure there are other places to get info but none are as effective as Gamestop for me (when it comes to video games) If Gamestop is your best source of video game news, then you're either used to a narrow perspective or comfortably ignorant. If it's the latter, then there's no issue; that's just you. If it's the former, then Gamestop is only doing you a disservice. > and your whole 45 dollars for 5 dollars is just ridiculous exaggerated. So much so that it's hard for me to ignore and see the meaning of what you meant. No, I was not exaggerating. I'm speaking from experience. They offered me $5 for the Portal 2 that I had bought for $60 a few months earlier. They were selling used copies for $45. Don't be so retarded as to act like people don't have a legitimate reason to hate Gamestop. It is as profitable as it is thanks to bad business. They rip customers off, they have absolutely terrible customer service, and they force employees to hassle customers to buy more stuff. Not to mention other stuff like gift cards that expire, a reputation for douchey staff, and shady pre-order practices. It's okay if you like Gamestop. Gamestop is a great place if you're lazy/hasty/ignorant. Otherwise, it's a shithole that is surpassed in every category by nearly everywhere else.
