clark
Hey guys , i wanted to ask you if you know about Greenlight (from steam)I'm going to resume it as fast as possible :You create a game , you submit it on their greenlight system after that people will vote your game if they like then if you have alot of likes on it steam can add your game on their steam program or even buy your game if they want to make it their own…[http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/about/?appid=765§ion=faq](http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/about/?appid=765§ion=faq)So here is the question:Eclipse maded games are they able to be submitted there? or is there a license that don't let eclipse games being submitted there.. ?(I'm talking about games with everything custom tilesets , characters etc… )
hisherwin
It's on your own Decision if you want to Submit that .. If you didn't ripped other's graphics . But Robin made the engine on Public Right? If yes , Then It is ![:D](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.png)
clark
^^ i'm asking that because i'm not sure if the game is bought are they going to use the engine of eclipse? haha ![:D](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.png) if they copy the project and paste it on their own server then there is no problem … but still asking myself ![:P](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.png)
JohnPony
Don't you need to pay $100 or something to post a game?
clark
It's looking that's we don't need to pay but do you all think that using eclipse origins engine or custom one is making us unable to post on Green light?
Guest
Hahaha no. There are no Eclipse games that would even make it past the 10% mark. Why? No originality whatsoever.
clark
Heheh ![:P](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.png) thanks all for your opinion but anyone can respond me if in the license of eclipse is a part who don't accept to do this thing? ^^
Guest
As long as you're not selling the source and you're simply selling your game I think it's fine.

Greendude120
Heres the main problem your gonna get. (If you manage to get enof votes which is almost impossible).-Your game will be f2p on steam which means thousands of people will try your game. Servers c annot support that much. Steam may also not accept your game because it will ask you details about your servers capacity anyway.Even if its safe to apply, this will never work. It will only ruin the reputation of your game.
