poopdog200
I love the various nighttime features such as night only npc spawns and I would like to take advantage of them. However, night makes the maps VERY dark and you can hardly see anything. I have my server timer stopped so it's always daytime, but I would like to use night so is there anyway that I can make it less dark when it's nighttime? (FYI I have EE 2.7 and no scripting skills)
Darknisss
Doesn't that go for…source I think?
Dark Crusade
To change the nighttime graphics change the color of the blue tile next to the levelup graphic in graphics/tiles10 in the client directory. It doesn't alpha blend, but instead… blend some other strange way, so it may take a lot of editing to get it right.

tenjimaru
to make the night shade lighter replace the blue with a purple-ish colour, it may take several times to get the right colour, but you will be satisfied =D
Rhemsis
I was fooling around with the nighttime color tile and the best I've come up with so far is a checkered tile made in MS Paint with every pixel alternating between black and white. [You get the picture, although I haven't tried the purple shade mentioned above]. Its a quick way to make the game look darker than usual, of course I assume it is probably not the most appealing alternative. If you do, do the checkered approach, you'll have to change the light 'gradient' graphics to all white, except for the blue [make those the same color as your nighttime square.Hope this helps.
