Inunah
I've read a lot of the basic tutorials here and i'm stumped.I open the server, and when I try to register in the client, it says the server's down or offline, so I can't get on to start making the world?I've got Version 2.
Baron
*sigh*1) run the server program on your computer2) run the client3) set the clients IP to 127.0.0.1 and port to whatever it says in the server under port4) connect. dont forget to grant your character admin access via server panel once you're in the game. Inunah
I had to switch to the other Eclipse client, the full one. That didn't work for me on the reccommended one.But i've got it down now, that works on the full one.
Oizumi03
Ya, don't bother with the recommended one. Use 2.5 or 2.7.. >.>
Inunah
Now I have another question. How do I add character sprites for both NPCs and PCs to the game without deleting the sprite sheet Eclipse came with?
tenjimaru
simply paste them in the bottom of the sheet, make sure you align them correctly
Oizumi03
Aligning them was always tricky for me, the last few times I tried, every got all messed up.

Inunah
@Tenjimaru:> simply paste them in the bottom of the sheet, make sure you align them correctlyI don't follow. What sheet?EDIT: oooooooh. :embarrassed:
tenjimaru
to make alignment easy you can download one of the templates in the main page
Inunah
@Tenjimaru:> to make alignment easy you can download one of the templates in the main pageThat's what I did. I downloaded the one with all the tales of the world sprites, but they don't work correctly. When I try to make an NPC with one of the new sprites I put in, it takes two of the sprites instead of just one.Now right now i'm using Total Eclipse, the other ones didn't work for me.![](http://i35.tinypic.com/a0hp5j.jpg)See?! :angry:I'm also using the default sprites, as well. They should work, there's a kid in the default spritesheet that's the same size as the sprites I'm wanting.
Drummerpete
You appear to have 32x32 sprites but have it set to 64x32.
Inunah
@Desiderium:> You appear to have 32x32 sprites but have it set to 64x32.Then how do I set it to both? I don't wanna give up the 64x32 or the 32x32
Lenton
You can't. Just pick the 64 x 32 sprites, there better in my opinion.
Inunah
@Alex:> You can't. Just pick the 64 x 32 sprites, there better in my opinion. But I want the Tales of sprites too!
Lenton
Well, if you wanted to keep both it would be extreamly hard and time consuming…You would have to seperate your 32 x 32 sprites with a 32 x 32 pixel gap between them. If this is confusing just pick 32 or 64..
Drummerpete
And paperdoll would be completed messed up..
