Anna Comnena
Looks fine, how does it match the tiles in place though? I'm a little unsure about the bright colors, and the door is a bit too high in my opinion.
Guest
Certainly needs a window.

Anna Comnena
Also, how it's designed with that cross-beam in the front panelling, leaves no tiles open to have a wall without that beam. But it doesn't look too bad in the map. How about having the dirt around where the house lay, instead of right on the grass?
AdrianC
![](http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/5421/ex8sg3.png)By [adrianko](http://profile.imageshack.us/user/adrianko) at 2008-12-23I will take out the cross beam. I will make a separate tile with a window which would fit there. I'll make the door shorter.
Guest
Oh by the way AdrianC, Great job on that house! Your really doing a cool thing here.
Anna Comnena
I downloaded the house, I'll make some edits.EDIT: hmm… is the bottom of the walls supposed to touch the edge of the tile, or is there space there for a reason? Where you planning on paving stone or something around the base of the house?
AdrianC
There's a small space there, yes. Wasn't really planning on anything. And thx, Ambard.

Guest
Ah the trees should go to I didn't realize everyone so stuck on the look of the game maker tiles that they would start emulating them on this.
AdrianC
If anybody has a problem with any tiles, pm me, DO NOT write your opinions here.Trees stay.
Anna Comnena
Trees look fine though. Only thing I dislike about them is their perspective, the bottoms are so flat.

shadowwulf
@Warconn:> i think the wall color should somewhat match the tree trunk color as it is a LOG cabin lol just a suggestion though1 its a wooden house not a log cabin.2 the color of the bark is not the same as the wood underneath… which in either case(wooden house or log cabin) is what you would see, so lighter is fine.maybe a little closer is cool but taken literally you are wrong :)
Anna Comnena
That's true Shadowwulf. Also it's possible the planks and beams that make up the house have been treated with lacquering or something as well.Edit: AdrianC, your wood planking doesn't tile, I'm going to just redo it my own way, using the house size and shape as my template. I'll make a wooden version, then a brick version. My wood version will just be an alternate for you.
AdrianC
Yeah, you're right, wasn't taking that into account when I started doing that.
Anna Comnena
Ok… working on it now... there was an interesting Nova program on that I had to watch so I wasn't pixel farming like I should've been.

Anna Comnena
![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v400/annacomnena/gfx/collab-house-01.png)I'm thinking of adding more woodgrain to the small planks, but didn't commit to it in case nobody likes the woodgrain lines on the main posts. Oh yeah, I also moved the entire building 3 pixels up, to let more tiles be modular (because before the roof would cut across a corner of several tiles which made them useless for any other purpose).
