Heres what 'm good at.2 Years ago I looked forever for a mmo creator and I found this.I made my own game's called USO last to die, and USO DM.USO LTD (Last to Die) was a basic MMO that had only about 10 players on it from different countries. It didn't fly so well because I couldn't keep it up 24/7, so they eventually lost interest.My team consisted of me and a friend as a mapper, we'd sit on seperate computers and kept only GM services on so we could sit on my network and map in different areas. I can't script for the life of me I read the tutorials and had no clue so I just used the basic's and what I had to create my worlds.I have a tester (another friend) that tells me exactly what he'd look for in a MMO and I'd try to put it in the best I could and he'd tell me straight up if I accomplished it or not.I got a lot of it other times I just gave up because of the lack of skills in the scripting department.I havent made maps in a while so I'm a little rusty Im expirimenting again, so If you like my resume' your going to have to give me some time to work on things not to long though I catch on pretty quickly.Idealist, Im pretty good at comming up with purposes for things, making little secrets for people to stumble upon randomly and have a little but more of an advantage than others. I believe that people should have a chance and not be the same, someone has to be better than you somewhere in some department. Like for example In world of warcraft (yes I owned my own Private server before the patches came out so shush) I was good at questing and making quests, and my friend sucked at it but he was good at making weapons and other bits.Like that guy Athene (look him up on youtube) he thinks hes the best paladin in the world on WoW, but i know that someone on any other server is probobly better than him.I come up with small things that people find to be such HUGE finds, and they advertise it to certain people and it becomes big.I'm an advertiser meaning I am a huge spammer, I spam other forums and websites like myspace, facebook, the things that ppl love to go on with what I'm working on or who im working with.IDK what people are looking for in a resume though they can be easily manipulated and I can't gloat so you'll have to give me a test run if you like what I can do than its all good if not than I think ill have to say w.e, but you have to tell me exactly what you want things to be based around otherwise ill turn your sci fi into a total med evil death match.which brings me to USO DM it was another server that was highly populated that was totally death match, I was working on USO TDM before I had some difficulties running 3 servers at the same time, but thats a different story for another time.(This sample has 2 parts idk which one you can see better but here I even added animations Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Tribal Posted December 29, 2008 Share Posted December 29, 2008 I can relate to you almost 100%.I am beginning a new project.Top Secret.If you will be available at the release of EE3 (the very second) then i will have a job open for you.This is a job to die for.I can host 24/7I can code eclipse into a mmorpg with a queue of playersPM me for more details.But i don't start till ee3. Sign up on a few forums and orpg ranking sites and such, and tell others about your game there, if the forum permits it. Make a nice organised topic to advertise. Tribal Posted December 29, 2008 Share Posted December 29, 2008 It depends really, kreator.TECHNICALLY, your signature for World of Hyrule is spam.It is repeated in EVERY SINGLE one of your posts - advertising the world of hyrule.You could argue that it is a signature, and it isn't spam because 'everyone else has a signature', 'the forums let you have signatures', or 'it is allowable'; but to be truthful it is TECHNICALLY spam.My point is that your World of Hyrule signature makes people go "i've seen that somewhere before", or "that sounds really promising for him to put it in his signature which is repeated in every post".Signatures ARE part of posts. They go at the end, count as the same post # and are posted under the authors name.You could also argue that what i just said was spam but that is besides the point.
