First every Tiles

[Techno 5.0]


i was just messin around in paint.net
so i took a green added noise and that fragmentedly blurred it and it came out good.

so yeah
maybe not exactly pixel art of the grass but w/e.

Cliff tile:

unlike the grass one.
ive added some Pixel art near the very end.
started off with a dark brown
added some noise.
fragment blurred it
and finished with some real pixel art.

im still trying to fix it so it tiles correctly
cuz it comes up like this.

i kno there is someone out there that doesnt wanna take the time to make a Base.

Meh, you mentioned noise and blur, so you know you will get flamed by certain pixel artists.

It kinda looks like a cloud I guess. I would recommend just opening up paint, and drawing your grass from scratch. It just doesn't look like grass.

Still, glad you're trying! Doing this stuff is pretty fun, even if you're not that good at it. You're just starting right now tho, so don't expect to be too skilled at this. You will get better for sure, I've noticed this myself.

i suck at pixeling grass and taking time
i end up screwing up somewhere lol

but i recently did the same thing while working on a cliff.
but i ended up pixeling cliff parts and wat not. ill upload tomorrow.
it looks pretty good except its kinda messed up at the moment
tryin to fix tiling.

I dont think theres anything wrong wih using filters for making tiles, as long as you apply the same
effect to everything you do. Some bare pixel art can be a little harsh on the eyes i think,

i only used like 2% lol
and i fragment blurred it so it lines up well :)

Filter effects are ok. As long as they aren't overused. Think of it as a players point of view: Very few care if you use noise or filters, but if you have a pixel art player(s), you can lose them. Because they will lose respect for your project/game.
