Stranger
Thoughts on my Avatar and Signature? If anyone here plays FFTA2 (or any FFT most likely) you should at least be able to recognize some of it.I made it when I realized that my Photoshop could interlace (it took me 2 years to notice.. durr) and wanted to break out of the usual rectangle signatures.I'm not 100% used to Photoshop and I'm no good at making interesting sigs with brushes and whatnot, so these are the kind of things that usually pop out of my head. The ava and sig in question, and if it needs to be part of my post too:![](http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn167/Ichikami/book2.gif)![](http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn167/Ichikami/cutout7.png)

Stranger
Their images I found, edits in Photoshop on a lot of it, changing colors, backgrounds, cleaning up most of it to make it a proper render etc.
Devogen
He interlaced them of a picture he said, ie - lasso select tool :)Ill find the original pic hang on..Here's one… ummm.. yeah...http://www.game-addicts.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/03/ffta2.jpg
Chief
Hey devo, did you jsut mention use of the lasso for renders? shame on you. experienced PS users should be accustomed to using the PEN tool…anyways, the stroke is a bit too heavy on the sig. all would be better if you drew out the stuff on ur own. stuff like that can be accomplished whilst using the PEN Tool. its difficult at first, but simple after a while. Stranger
I see what you mean, I was for the most part intentionally make the stroke thick to connect with the black box better, like a single entity, but maybe thinner would've been better.@[G2D] The rest would be:[http://media.giantbomb.com/uploads/0/3017/273171-final_fantasy_tactics_a2_hume_black_mage_large.png](http://media.giantbomb.com/uploads/0/3017/273171-final_fantasy_tactics_a2_hume_black_mage_large.png)[http://na.square-enix.com/ffta2/multimedia/judge_1280.jpg](http://na.square-enix.com/ffta2/multimedia/judge_1280.jpg)

All my images are on layers and are seperate. I havent cut a bitmap out in years.Judging from his edits and the thick black border I would say lasso. Stranger
I forget what, but I think I used the magic wand tool to grab the bigger chunks of the background and cleaned the rest up with a brush and removed any clashing light pixels with the pen tool. There were 2 reasons for the thick stroke, 1 for making a clean transition with most any background sense its interlaced to be translucent with any background.2 would be so it neatly comes together with the actual signature part that juts out, sort of like a sticker would be, one smooth "object" if you will.
